I thought the guys were nice at this dealership, but my overall experience was very disappointing. I was interested in one of their vehicles and came close to buying it. I don't live nearby, but my kids had a basketball tournament during the weekend that was 30 minutes away, so we had planned on me bringing in my trade to have it appraised, and so I could look at their vehicle if time permitted. I found out on my way there that the owner's wife was driving the vehicle I was interested in for the weekend. I was a little annoyed, but whatever! I still had my truck appraised and worked out numbers. I had a pre- approval from my bank, but Motor City was going to see if if they could get me a better rate. I left while they worked on that, because I had to get back to the basketball tournament for the next game. By mid day on Monday I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out to check in on the status of everything. I received a response later in the day that I got approved, but it had no addional details. I replied asking what the terms were, but didn't hear back. It's now late afternoon on Tuesday, so I call to find out that my bank offered better options. I asked them to send me the purchase and sale, and I would get out of work early and head to my bank. He said he would send it right over at 3:45pm, but I was soon arriving to the bank at 4:30pm, and still hadn't received anything. I was getting nervous because the bank closes at 5pm. I call again and it is finally sent. I immediately forward it to the loan officer, not thinking to look, because we had alreay finalized the numbers while I was there, and I was rushing to get everything done before the bank closed. When signing the paperwork with the bank, I realized my trade wasn't included. Apparently, the "old purchase and sale agreement" was sent on accident, but I never worked the deal without my trade, so not sure where this old one came from. I asked if they would still buy my truck, and they said no. Furthermore, even after all this, they were not willing to bring the vehicle to me, so I would have to now find someone to take me down there. The bank was unable to redo the deal with the trade, because it would then make my LTV too high. I had previously missed out on a deal at another dealership on a vehicle that was the same year, make, model, and about the same miles, which was overall $1,500 less, so this makes sense. I wasted so much time and energy for all this to happen. I feel like the transparency at this dealership is unsettling. I worked in the car industry for many years and this is not how I operated. If you are looking for an honest dealership, try one of the McGee Dealerships. I know for a fact that this wouldn't happen over there, and I think I won't venture away from them again. Most dealership are like this, sadly! I thought these guys were different, but I guess I was wrong. P.S. I should have read through all these reviews before I went there. When looking at their responses, it is clear that they take absolutely no accountability for anything, and are extremely defensive when anything is brought to their attention. This should serve as a red flag for everyone. I previously mentioned McGee, look at their responses to their negative reviews. Examples: How can we make your experience better?, I'm sorry this happened. How can we help?, etc. It actually made me uncomfortable reading Motor City's responses. I am now curious what their response will be to this and what excuse will be used this time around.

Bought an suv from them. Within a few weeks the check engine light came on, as well as the tire monitor. I brought it back and paid 100’s of dollars to have it repaired by Paul. Not only did it take almost 2 weeks to get repaired (time I went without a vehicle) but they literally just turned the lights off manually and did not fix anything. Unfortunately this suv has been plagued with expensive repairs ever since. Would never buy there again.

Ryan and 1023 Motors are easy going and friendly for sure. I bought a used car there with lots of miles on it and knew it would need some time and TLC to make it right for me and my daughter but that's how it is when you buy a higher mileage older car. We took care of it and now it's fine. It's a sweet little used car that should be good for years to come. I would go back to 1023 Motors again the next time I am looking for a car. I was in the market for my first car and saw an 05 Chevy cobalt for sale at this dealership so I figured I'd go give it a look. I was checking the tires and the frame for rust, like anyone should do when looking at a used car. I liked the way it looked so I decided to ask for a test drive. The guy gave me an attitude like it was a hassle just to test the car. Before he let me drive the first thing he even bothered to ask was "how are you paying for this today?" I told him that I was testing cars and wasnt sure which I was going to buy but a test drive would help make my decision easier. The a hole then took the keys from me and said "well then go elsewhere. If you came here to kick tires then kick tires but dont ask for a test drive if you aren't going to buy". So I said fine have a nice day and he told me to take my attitude home with me? The dude has mental problems I swear. Do not go to this place. Guaranteed the car was a piece of junk that he was trying to get rid of. Dont let him trick you into buying junk. DO NOT GO HERE.

Solid 5/5 stars. I stopped by on a busy Saturday and was openly told to feel free to look around and check out anything I’d like. Bob was very inviting and incredibly helpful, and Sarah was extremely prompt and pleasant to work with on the financing side. I’ve shopped at some shady used car dealerships in the past, and First City has proven to be the opposite of that. They are very honest and open about their inventory, and made for a very friendly, zero pressure interaction with zero headache.

went in to buy a pre owned vehicle. Met with Marcelle, the sales manager at the used car dealership as we have dealt with Marcel for over 20+ years for various new and/or used car purchases. He and his staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were able to purchase the vehicle we wanted with the help of Laura Stewart one of the sales reps there. It was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone. The process from test drive to finalizing the purchase with the finance manager. They were all so courteous and friendly, it was a great experience!!

Well they used the oldest trick on the books, their trucks are owned by dealer down street that does inspection, and repairs writes up bills to show customer and says they spent a lot of money on getting it in shape , they actually go up in prices to justify their jacked up bills, lol example 1000 dollars for a rear bumper installed when the actual cost was approx 200 bucks, along with their own mechanic applying a state inspection sticker, stay away from them and their sideshow coffy .

Highly, highly recommend!! This was our first experience financing a car and Ross made the whole process smooth and easy. I was a little hesitant buying a car because of the stereotype that most car salesman are trying to rip you off... we did not feel that AT ALL with Ross! He wasn't pushy or "salesy." My husband and I attempted to purchase a truck from this deal. The Truck was located at another Nucar Dealership partner in another state. I was told "No Problem we can get it." I was prepared to pay for shipping, which costs 1000 dollars, etc. I went through all of the financing etc. Only to have them LIE to me and say the truck was sold 5 days later... The sales person was caught in a lie and had to back pedal when I asked if they were even in contact with the other dealership and lied and said that they were. I had spoken with the other dealerships manager who has the truck and asked if it had been sold or if the Nucar dealership was even in contact with them and they told me they had not heard from them EVER. They assured that their Manager was talking to their manager. They had a Truck that is not even comparable on the Gorham lot with way more miles they can't get rid of and the manager even asked me "Whats wrong with the one we got?" That truck is still for sale. Glad I never bought from them!

Worst Dealer Ever. Deceiving is their caption. Bought a Volkswagen Passat for 2700$ and at the time of purchase I was informed that Car is in very good condition and needs no repair. As a SNHU college student and with broke status I felt good with the car and after 2 hours of purchase my hopes were left in ashes as huge smoke came through the a/c and my spending spree began on the car. It all started with 500$ repairs and the repairs went on. When you start spending some money on the car, you get greedy that it is going to get better after each repair and you go on spending the money. After spending more than 5000$ around (mostly above) just on the repairs,the car is in good shape now but without AC.

I have purchased two used vehicles from C.J.'s. Used vehicles, heck brand new vehicles, are all man made creations and therefore it may naturally be assumed that they are inferior from the start. Used vehicles, it should go without saying, will continuously need some sort of service and repair, pretty much ongoing. If you get yourself a vehicle that requires little maintenance each year, you can count your self very lucky! Maintenance free automobiles, are a rarity! Most of the time I have brought my vehicles back to C.J.'s, and nearly always any issue I have had, has been remedied. Yes, once in awhile, an attempted fix made need a little more tweaking, but rarely. As a person who has been on a very tight budget for a long time, I have always found the Proprietors at C.J'S, have been very helpful in giving me solutions and ideas that work within my budget. I am appreciative of that thoughtfulness on their part. Trust me, I have been royally screwed over in my lifetime, by Garages, Shops, and Mechanics, who took me for a sucker. I have spent sums of money I didn't need to. Yes, we all need to be careful who we deal with, yet I think if you are considering purchasing a vehicle or need to have your vehicle serviced after purchase, through C.J.'s, you should be fine. Act like a spaz, be an idiot, make absurd demands, swear and cuss, be impatient, be a snot nose, and be all defensive when such a posture is overkill, then expect bad service in return from anyone, let alone C.J's. If you are one writing a negative review, and if you are a person telling others to steer clear of C.J.'s auto village, then I have to wonder just what sort of personality and psychology you present to all your fellow beings, that you encounter. Are you going into a relationship with this Dealership, looking for a fight? Do you have a nasty attitude going in, if so, then no wonder, you have a problem with this Dealership. If you want a good experience, and act like a mature adult, I would bet you will have a decent experience, if you choose to transact with C.J.'S Auto Village. Business owners are human like yourselves. Yes, they choose to deal with the general public of humans by the nature of their business. What sort of person you are, to deal with, says it all, when it comes to the nature of the relationship or experience, you have at C.J.'s. As for myself, my experience has been primarily positive. I do not see any signage or commercials or anything that tells you, that this Dealership is going to treat you like a King or Queen, that you imagine yourself to be. Get real, you are simply a potential Customer.You will be granted a no frills transaction. Behave yourself and maybe you will EARN(not automatic) the status of a "Valued Customer", a mutual respect and understanding will then develop. Basic, right?

They held the vehicle while I was in VA for two weeks on a family emergency, they were patient and understanding, even followed up to make sure all was ok with my mom and did not mention or ask about when I would be back just said stay in touch and we hope all is well. I bought a car with the car fax from this place. Owner was personable, degree in financing I believe he said. Car was $5995.00 I put down half in cash, financed the rest. I put a total of 13000 miles on it. During that 13 months I drove it I had to put almost a thousand in cash out for repairs, even with the GWC warranty. 14 months into owning the car the transmission blew on the highway. It sat in Ct for 3 months while I still made payments and insurance payments. Only to finally pay it off (3k) to get the title and I just sold it for $800 in cash. Underneath was full of rot, anything he told me was straight xxxxxxxx. Stay away

I bought a used vehicle from this dealership last year and have had nothing but problems. The vehicle was a 2005 with low miles and I was assured that the car was in tip top condition. Since the purchase of this vehicle I have replaced/repaired minor problems such as, new battery, seat heater, a/c charge, a/c repair, windshield washer pump. The major issues have been extremely expensive such as, Traction control module, catlyc converter, brakes and most recently the transmission. I paid almost $10,000 for this vehicle and have put another $7000 into it in the past year. Please note that when i first got the car i made them aware of the a/c problem and the gave me a reciept for all this work performed on it when all they ever did was charge it. When my wife picked up the car the gas tank was empty( even after i called to make sure there was going to be a full tank as i was promised by the salesman) and the car was dirty. As my wife drove away she went to clean the windshield but the cleaner was empty. I brought the car back to the dealer to have various things repaired but all it seems i got was a bogus reciept of work perfformed because the problem continued to appear. I am extremely unsatisfied with my experiance with this car dealership. I also would like to make aware that we have children and as most people cant afford these repairs. Right at this very moment the car is sitting with a $2,900 repair bill we cant pay. I guess thats what you get when you allow the saleman to railroad you into a car.

TL/DR; Dealer drags things out so out of state car registration is late and slips back in stupid charges after they make you wait hours and hours for paperwork. Maybe I should have expected this, but this dealer pulled every sneaky trick possible. The engine on my daughter's car blew and she was rushed to purchase a new car. Planet Honda had a nice 2015 CR-V at a good price so we went to purchased. She was told she'd be given $2,500 for her old car with blown engine (a 2010 CR-V with NO rust, clean body and interior and new tires on alloy rims). So we arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and the negotiations began. Agreed upon a price for the car, but then it comes in $1,153 more for an "options" package ($595) we didn't ask for (pin striping, window tinting, etc. - this was already on the car for the advertised price). Then they added the xx "etched glass" protection and nitrogen in the tires for $558 more. We declined the protections ($389) but left the nitrogen. Now all of a sudden, the trade-in was only worth $1,000 because they hadn't looked at it in details (except they had already given her a quote to repair it). Fast forward, or should I say slow-forward six hours, we are still waiting for financing. It's 7pm, we haven't eaten and they are dealer-dragging. We finally get into the finance office and it's 1,000MPH for paperwork. Again, we decline protection, extended warranty, etc. Every single time the finance manager has us sign, it's on an iPad and we've scrolled to the signing lines. The "additional fees" are small print lines and blended in with other fees. Let's just say there was another $1,257 in fees that appeared on a scrolled by line six hours later in the day. The "safe and secure" $558 package magically reappeared in the final sales, slipped by the goalie. Yeah, we mighta caught it, but this is the dealer-scam: make you wait so long, you'll sign anything to leave. Now here's the kicker: we purchased the car in NH, but live in MA. It's been 9 days and no plates, no registration. Checking on-line, they haven't even filed the paperwork yet. We can't inspect the car in MA (which you have 7 days to do) because of this. Just a heads up, pay attention with this dealer as they drag things out and make it difficult for you.
