I brought my wife’s car into Bommarito for a specific issue that we clearly outlined at the time of drop-off. We did not authorize any additional work beyond the initial concern. Despite this, Bommarito went ahead and performed additional service without calling, texting, or emailing us for approval.
We were later handed a bill for work we never agreed to. When I asked why no one contacted us for authorization, I got nothing but vague responses. This was not some minor add-on service. It was enough to warrant a discussion, and that never happened.
To make matters worse, I contacted Kevin McCauley, the service manager, both by phone and by email. That was several weeks ago. I have received no call back and no reply. No explanation, no accountability, just silence.
We paid the invoice at the time to avoid further conflict, but it was clear from the start that the work was not approved. I gave Bommarito every chance to make this right before leaving this review. Unfortunately, they chose to ignore me.
If you value clear communication and trust in a service department, I would think twice before coming here. At a minimum, make sure everything is documented and get all approvals in writing. Based on my experience, once they have your payment, your concerns might no longer matter.
