Vehicle went in for transmission shutter issues that was - travis
Vehicle went in for transmission shutter issues that was under warranty, spent 6 months prior with the dealershiptelling me that the shutter was normal and nothing to worry about. I (the customer) had to keep contacting the warranty company for the dealership. Before the dealership knew i had an extended warranty, they quoted me a total for a transmission and a torque converter. Torque converter being half the price of a transmission even though a new transmission comes with a torque converter pre installed. Every time I would call to get a progress update an my vehicle, I would get a different answer. After the warranty approved a transmission replacement, was told work was started on a Wednesday and should be completed by that Friday possibly the next Monday. Called Friday was told it was on the racks and should be done an Monday by end of day if not Tuesday morning. I wait until Tuesday after lunch to call back and get told that the work just got started that morning. After 4 weeks with no vehicle (when I asked about a loaner vehicle while mine was in their shop, was told the couple they had were already loaned out and the others they had were all being worked on, but they put me on a list) the work was finally completed. I understand not having loaner vehicles at times but I think that should be something that should have been mentioned before contacting the warranty company (and the part that when you call to start a warranty claim that the vehicle has to stay there until everything is finished) but instead that was mentioned at the end of the day when they made it seem as if I was good to come get my vehicle until they heard back with approval or denial from the warranty company.
