I recently visited Greenway Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Orlando, hoping to purchase a Jeep within my budget. After seeing a promising deal online, I contacted the dealership and spoke with a manager who assured me they could bring the vehicle from their Sarasota location within a day. However, I was required to pay upfront to secure the deal, which made me uneasy, but I proceeded based on the manager's assurances.
Upon arrival the next day, I experienced significant delays before finally seeing the Jeep, which unfortunately had visible damage to the passenger door and bottom panel—damage that was not disclosed in the photos or description. The manager and salesperson attributed the damage to the Sarasota location and were initially unhelpful, stating they couldn't do anything about it. They mentioned I could get a refund, but it would take days to process and might negatively impact my credit score.
After expressing my dissatisfaction, the salesperson eventually agreed to have the damage repaired. I brought the Jeep in a month later for repairs, which took three days without a rental car option. Disappointingly, the vehicle still showed signs of the previous damage. Additionally, the soft top, which had no prior issues, was broken the next day, requiring a $2,000 replacement that Jeep wouldn't cover.
This experience has been frustrating and disheartening. I would caution others to be wary when dealing with this dealership.
