I want to start this by saying this review is in no way - Apannier
I want to start this by saying this review is in no way representative of our sales woman. She was wonderful, professional, full of energy, and I’m sure she will do wonderful things in car sales . This review is in response to the sales manager and the dealership as a whole .
My wife and I came in to see a Jeep that was on Facebook. When we arrived, it was a little rougher than the pictures made it seem. However, another Jeep grabbed our attention. Being an ex Chrysler tech and having a long career in automotive repair , I knew what and where to look to see if this Jeep had any issues , which for its age I expected it to have some. And I found it did , it had oil leaks in a few places . It had an issue with the key getting stuck in the ignition. All 4 tires, while having good tread depth , were old , dry rotting , and had tread separation . From my experience, the vehicle was going to need $3-5k in repairs shortly after purchasing it . After talking over with my wife , we felt that if the dealership would agree to a fair price, even with the needed repairs, we would go through with the purchase, as I would be able to facilitate the repairs at my current employer for a reasonable price . We offered slightly under what KBB had listed for average selling price . 10k vs 10.8k . After about 10 min the manager came out to tell me that not only would he not be accepting my offer , but if we didn’t want to purchase the vehicle as is , at his price ( which was roughly 3k above the highest number on kbb) that I could leave . “ take it, or leave”. This manager was unprofessional , un willing to listen to reason , seemed to be more worried about holding gross than being fair and doing what was right by the customer and genuinely rude . This is a shame as we would have liked to work with this dealership , would loved to have owned the Jeep and above all would have like to buy from our sales woman. I’m unsure if it’s the dealerships way to sell vehicles that need work as soon as the leave the lot at massively inflated prices , or if it was just this manager. But the market has reached a point where the covid shortage has ended , vehicles are no longer scarce or rare and customers deserve to be treated correctly and prices should be fair.
