The problem with this dealership is that they have no interest in customer service. I purchased the car at Daland and know I got a very good deal financially, but they seem to be intent on making me pay for my negotiating skills.

My first visit was for a simple oil change, I was there 5 minutes early for a 30 minute oil change. I left an hour and 20 minutes later. I was told "45 minutes is no big deal" and "go F--- yourself, your problem means nothing to me" - those are direct quotes from the service manager. The fact that I was hosting a 20 person international conference call 30 minutes after the oil change was supposed to be complete had no meaning.

My second visit was for my 7500 mile service, I also had a problem with a broken parking brake and a noise from the brakes whenever the car was in reverse. The service (which I paid for) was done, none of the other problems were fixed.

When we picked up the car we had to back it about 300 yards through a narrow alley to get it to the street. The service manager and a salesman stood against the wall and laughed about our predicament.

I called Nissan about the problem and got told that the owner of Daland had already called and indicated he didn't want me back at the dealership. Nissan had no interest in helping me at all.

I personally don't like the car we purchased (a Murano) and the dealership situation really grates me. I've never had this kind of service from American car dealers and one or two complaints (over 40 years of car buying) have always been handled to my satisfaction.

This is my fourth Japanese vehicle and definitely my last.

If you know how to screw a dealer on the deal and can't live without a Nissan, I suggest you stick with Daland and take their deal to someone else. Otherwise, I'd find another brand and dealer.
