As a customer who has been with Mercedes-Benz San Diego for about 13 years, and as part of a family that has been driving Mercedes for nearly 90 years (my grandfather, father, and myself), I must say that reading negative reviews about this dealership is disappointing. Many of these customers have yet to experience purchasing or receiving services from the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Escondido.
Frankly, comparing Mercedes-Benz San Diego to the Escondido dealership is fundamentally wrong. You may not believe it, but the sales department and even the service advisors at Mercedes-Benz Escondido are often unfamiliar with the latest features and technologies of Mercedes vehicles. Customers often have to explain these features to them and introduce them to the innovations. (Are they really trained? I highly doubt it.)
That being said, I wouldn’t claim that Mercedes-Benz San Diego offers exceptional service, but at least they still strive to ensure customer satisfaction. While it’s true that Mercedes-Benz service quality has declined significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic, this dealership is still making an effort to provide decent service, though it falls short of excellence.
There are many reasons for this decline in service quality. However, economic inflation, cost-cutting measures, hiring young and inexperienced engineers (at lower salaries), and employing cheaper labor have all played a significant role in reducing the overall quality of service.
