And his attitude was positive like he actually enjoys his job. I've been places where the employees appeared to dislike their jobs and you could tell. I understand some jobs can be hectic, but you should never let the customer see it. So I applaud him a great service. Definitely would recommend this dealership if you want quality, respect and don't want to be taken advantage of like some dealerships do. Anyway, basically, I will for sure let them work on my car again. More

Poor customer service I brought my car in for service December 21, 2015....I had a coupon for 15% off service and needed some work on my catalytic system. The service rep, I brought my car in for service December 21, 2015....I had a coupon for 15% off service and needed some work on my catalytic system. The service rep, Nick, called me late that same day to let me know the damages....I agreed to some of the repairs, not others, but the repair would take several days because they did not stock the parts. Nick quoted my repair price, and then stated that the additional 15% off discount would be applied when I picked up my vehicle. I returned on Dec 23 to pick up my car. I found that some unauthorized repairs had been made to my vehicle and I had been billed for them. In addition, the 15% discount was not applied. Of course no one with any authority was available because of the holiday. I had the choice of doing without my car for an additional 5 days, or pay and hope to correct the problem after the holidays. The man checking me out was able to give me a $200 discount (about half of what I was owed), and cancel one of the unauthorized charges. He assured me that the manager, Matt, would be able to help me. On December 26, I discussed this with Matt. He told me the unauthorized charges were "freebies" and that the charges had been deducted (massaged) from the other repairs. Regarding the discount, he would straighten all out, and that the remaining 15% would be placed back on my credit card. He said he would call me the following day, to follow up, but never did. Today I got my credit card bill. No surprise, this amount was not refunded. Since the new owners have taken over this dealership, I have had some sketchy suggestions from the staff regarding repairs for items that are not really in need of replacement at the time. I have refused those suggestions and only purchased what I felt was necessary. I'm not sure if they are doing this to all customers, or only to ones they think they can scam. Repairs that were made were done well, and I have no complaint about that. I wish Gentile were still running the show....yes, the waiting room was atrocious, but I had trust in their word. More

I should say that their prices were fair however. But the service was so bad it literally drove me elsewhere to buy. They tried to make amends - to their credit - but it was too late. I would potentially give them another opportunity in the future - as not all their folks were bad, but the person I worked with initially and a couple folks in the appraisal department fell far short of expectation. I was looking to see where I could get the best price. I have purchase 10 cars over the last 40 years. I have owned Toyotas, Chevys, olds, and nissans. Each time I go to a dealer, with research in hand, I don't expect to get the car for nothing but again I do not want to give away my hard earned money. A fair compromise is all I am looking for along with great customer service and be treated fairly. As I knew that I wanted to buy a suburu and there are plenty of dealers in my surrounding area I would figure to give them a go. I went to 2 local dealerships that had the suburus in stock that I wanted. Well after talking to these dealerships, I was not feeling the being treated with a fair price on the cars. I then check the internet for mor dealerships with in a 100 mile radius of Chicago. I happen to come upon Racine Suburu. I check the internet stock that they had on their lot along with price of the cars. I saw 3 cars that met my criteria and sent an email to James to see if the cars were still available to test drive. I told James that I would be coming up the next day day from the Chicago to test drive those vehicles that I was interested in. I called that morning to see if they were still available. He told me they were and that they would be ready to test drive when I got up there. When I arrived I was greeted by James and test drove the first two vehicles. Never got to the 3rd. We sat down to discuss the price that was posted on the internet and what the final price with T,T, and Doc fee going out the door on both cars. He went to see Scott the GM, came back with the price that satisfactory for both of us. We discussed pickup time the next day and who the check had to be written out to. The whole process from start(test drives) to the final out the door price was less then 3 hours. Each test drive was 20-30 minutes and we did sit in the cars and went over certain features on each car. I was also in touch with my wife and bank during the process too. So it might have been a smidge outside 3 hours. No going back and forth no hidden fees. Just what each line item meant. Dealing with James and Scott was a pleasant experience. The next day upon pickup, James was busy with another customer and that he handed me over to his brother who help get things started with john the finance person and Chris who explained the car workings to me and my wife. The whole process on Saturday from start to finish was less than 1.1/2 hours. James did finish with his customer and we chatted about the smooth process. John had everything ready to go and we were in his office less than 20 minutes signing all the papers. We couldn't be happier . I am glad that I picked the proper color quartz blue as oppose to desert sand. My wife would not have been happy with that color. Racine Subaru did an outstanding job from start to finish from showing me the cars I was interested in to the paper work to sign and getting the car ready to drive and explained how it works. I would recommend this dealership to anybody that is interested in buying a Suburu. They treat you with respect and do not force you into a higher end car or bait and switch on you. A dealer that gives you a good deal and still makes money to keep the doors open. I would travel up there again to buy another Suburu from them and I probably will next May when I will need another car to purchase. Ask for James, or Scott or Chris. Best experience ever in buying a car! More

The dealership at the exact car that I was looking for an stock on their website with a great sale price. When I arrived at the dealership Chris greeted me properly and professionally. He acknowledged the online price and gave me a great product demonstration test drive. All the dealership went rather quickly and John in the finance office was great. We chose the Subaru special financing and took out the loan for 60 months. The entire experience was fantastic. Apparently they had just taken over the dealership at the beginning of the year from the old owner Gentile who did not have a very good reputation from everybody I heard. Overall a very enjoyable experience and I will be back! More
