The boss (Mark?) is really really tough to negotiate, one rear windows cannot be closed, another one cannot be openned. The salesmen both promised they could take care for free and got some discounts, while rear windows cannot be closed, another one cannot be openned. My husband and I drove two hours from Rockford, IL to Downers Grove, IL to look at a used VW Passat Wagon. While the WV was a quality car, it did not seem to have the safety features I desired for my tod Downers Grove, IL to look at a used VW Passat Wagon. Jason knowing the inventory on the lot very well said without hesitation that he had a car I should look at that has the safety I am looking for. In two minutes Jason pulled up a 2006 Saab 9-3 Sport Combi. I have never driven a Saab or driven in one for that matter. Immediately I liked the car. Even though he said the Saab was slightly more than the VW, it looked like it was going to be a lot more than the VW. I felt immediately disappointed that we would not be able to afford it. I test drove it any way. I am a rather tactile person and the way things feel is important to me. Every thing about the Saab felt good and right. When we sat down to talk pricing, it really was only slightly more than the VW, just like Jason said. After researching the Saab my husband and I found the sale price to be good and Jason lowered it just a bit more, not because it was over priced but to let my husband "win" an unnecessary negotiation. I found my sales person Alex to be a genuinely likable person. Not just because he complimented my driving, but because he was personable and I had a chance to know him a little bit during our test drives.. I found every one at the dealership to be friendly and they were patient with my three year old who was interacting with them.
