We broke down out of town. The issue was, the vehicle needed a new ignition switch put into it. We called the Honda dealership in our town, and they said they would put a new The issue was, the vehicle needed a new ignition switch put into it. We called the Honda dealership in our town, and they said they would put a new ignition switch in the vehicle and, including labor, they would charge us $500 out the door… and give us 2 new keys. Because we were out of town, the cost to tow the vehicle was going to be $700, so we decided to have the vehicle towed to this Honda dealership in Lima because it was close to our breakdown. This dealership charged us $1300 to do the exact same thing that the Honda dealership in Dover, Ohio said they would do for $500. The bottom line is, this Honda dealership took advantage of our desperate situation and way over charged us. It would’ve been cheaper for me to pay the $700 tow and take it to an honorable dealership over this one that completely took advantage of our desperate situation. This dealership said the cost was in the labor, and after I got home, I checked at the dealership in my area and found out that the labor to switch and ignition switch is not at all something that would cost a lot. It’s very frustrating. We’re telling everybody we know, especially the ones that live in that area, to never go to this dealership. More
