Staff was first rate, greeted by sales manager as I entered dealorship,who took me to a very nice sailsman. I was shown the truck I was interested in purchasing. I am a sailor in training in the U.S. Navy in Groton Ct., I mistakenly bought an F-150 pickup truck from salesman, Jeff Gay, I clearly could not afford at my pay rate. The Whaling City dealership was able to I mistakenly bought an F-150 pickup truck from salesman, Jeff Gay, I clearly could not afford at my pay rate. The Whaling City dealership was able to bypass the safety mechanism (the Navy Federal Credit Union has in place to protect sailors) using another bank to get my loan approved. Within 3 business days, I contacted the dealership about returning the F-150 pickup, and Chuck Primus, an owner, refused. My father also spoke to Chuck Primus and again Mr. Primus refused to help me. Finally, after my mother contacted the Ford Motor Company, Mr. Primus took the F-150 pickup truck back and charged me $5,000 plus a $2,000 loss on my trade-in. I had to get a $5,000 personal loan from the Navy Federal Credit union to pay this dealership to return the F-150 pickup. Seven thousand dollars total is a ridiculous amount to charge me when I only drove the F-150 pickup truck 100 miles (it had 110 miles on it when I bought it), and had possession only a few days, for a sales return. I do not know how this dealership stays in business treating customers like this. I guess Mr. Primus figures I will be going off to serve our country somewhere else and may as well hose me when there is no likelihood of any repeat business with me or my family (they live in Michigan). More
What can I say that the grades do not. It was as good an experience as can be expected. Was treated nice while there . Price of oil change went up but was able to use coupon! Did have minor problem with car and had to bring back little while later. I was a little early for my service but they took the car information and everything was finished on time. I had customer awards and a 10% coupon which they used as partial payment for my WORKS service. Th information and everything was finished on time. It seems that those two guys enjoy there work.They find a way to take care of any problem I may have with my vechicles over the past 20 years or so.I wouldn't take my vechicles anywhere esle.
