In the end, the choice was obvious Usually buying pre-owned cars, I was a bit anxious about making the choice to buy a new truck. I started looking with no pre-disposed brand or dealership loyalty, so I ended up researching and looking at just about every model out there at dealerships spanning a 30 mile area near my home. After what felt like a marathon of test drives and talks with sales staff, I was happily surprised with how easy choosing a dealership was in the end. Whaling City Ford's staff were all of the good things you'd expect from a dealership (welcoming, knowledgeable, eager to help, etc) while not being pushy or gimmicky. Going for a test drive with Eric Nunez felt more like a post-sale run through of all the neat features of your new vehicle instead of a pre-sale pitch. He didn't come across as condescending to an inexperienced 'car driver' now looking to buy a truck, nor did any of the staff ever come across as negative toward other brands or dealerships. They presented their vehicles, staff, services, and financial numbers and then politely asked you to consider giving them your business. Sitting to go over numbers with Greg LaBeau was like sitting with a family accountant that you've known for years to talk about retirement options. He was instantly likable and did an incredible job of presenting financial options (and how he got there) without putting me to sleep. I also want to mention their general manager Nathan Gaucher, who helped me with my trade-in and was another key factor in me making my decision. There was no hard sell at the end with the usual "what do we have to do to put you in this car" pitch. In the end, driving away from Whaling City Ford in my new truck left me feeling 'assisted' in my vehicle search rather than 'sold', and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to at least include them in your search. I'm glad that I did. More

The selected vehicle was driven up for our inspection. We drove around the block with the salesperson. We negotiated. We bought the vehicle. And the staff went to work on prepping the car, getting the registration, talking with our insurance carrier, everything. There was a little wait for the special preps and the salesperson and staff were completely amiable. We talked with the owners, general manager, sales manager, business manager - the whole family. And they took our old car and we drove off in our new car completely happy with the whole experience (to say nothing of the zippy new car). More
