Dealership held my truck for over a month, excuse after excuse for the truck not being repaired. Warranty issue. When the vehicle was finally "fixed" I noticed an issue immediately upon start up. Service D excuse for the truck not being repaired. Warranty issue. When the vehicle was finally "fixed" I noticed an issue immediately upon start up. Service Dept employees were rude and condescending. Imagine not having your vehicle for over a month and then being brushed off and ignored. I had to initiate all contact the first 4 weeks. There was ZERO follow-up. I am filing a formal complaint with Ford Motor company. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. More
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Showed that he cared, didn't try to mislead me. Work was done on time just like he said. I would definitely recommend and be a repeat customer (if n Showed that he cared, didn't try to mislead me. Work was done on time just like he said. i don't normally write a review matter of fact this is my 1st ever review not one Whaling City Ford should be proud of. Buyer beware....Whaling City Ford is the reason dealerships get a bad reputation. It 1st ever review not one Whaling City Ford should be proud of. Buyer beware....Whaling City Ford is the reason dealerships get a bad reputation. It all started with the purchase of my 2019 F-250. That should have been the warning right there and then. i had negotiated price through USAA to purchase the truck and also confirmed the price via online. i go to the dealership for a test drive. i liked the truck and decide to go forward with the purchase. i brought in all my paperwork confirming the online quote and the USAA negotiated price and the salesman come back from his manager with a price $5k more than the two prices i had and one of the prices was from their online quoting. Well after some heated discussion, i decided this wasn't the place to purchase the truck. At that point the Manager stepped in and agreed to honor their online price that they quoted me via email. With some hesitation, i decided to go through with the deal and purchase the truck. With all the vehicles i have purchased i always try to make sure the dealership has a good service department. Whaling City Ford gets a big fat "F" in this department. Not only do you have to wait weeks to get a simple oil change done. You have to argue with them to get warranty work done. i had the dreaded Ford Death Wobble and had to argue to get them to fix that while it was under warranty. But the latest think that takes the cake, is i brought the truck in under warranty for wet carpets on the passager side. Ford has a bulletin on this issue and a fix to prevent a/c drain tube from leaking pass the firewall. Well Whaling decided to not do this repair but to just blow the line out, they said. Well this past summer i noticed the floor was wet again. so when i took it in for oil change i ask them to look into this. that's when i was told i need to have the ford recommended fix but now that my truck was no longer under warranty i need to pay for this service. as one would expect i wasn't happy with that answer and had a real heated arguement with the service tech. i told him i would take my truck else where to get the service done. Long story short the service tech called me back about an hour later to tell me that he talked to management about my situation and how they should have done this work when i originally brought it in for service and they agreed to do the service free of charge but they needed to order the part and will call me when it arrives to schedule the service. Well today was that day. 1/11/24, get a call from the service tech who is different from the one i originally dealt with, who is no longer with Whaling, tells me that they are about to do the service and informs me that there is going to be a charge for this service because it's not under warranty. i explained to him what the previous tech said, but all he could say is he is no longer here and we can't do this for free. the way i left it was if i had to pay to correct this problem then i will be paying another dealership because Whaling City Ford has been the worse dealership i have ever dealt with in the 60 years on this earth. So in closing anyone who uses USAA ,Navy Federal, or True car to purchase your vehicles and Whaling City Ford pops up as the dealership go elsewhere. More
They've had my truck for about 4 months you cannot fix my truck that's under warranty not to mention I'm paying hundreds of dollars a month full coverage for the truck and it's just sitting in there parking truck that's under warranty not to mention I'm paying hundreds of dollars a month full coverage for the truck and it's just sitting in there parking lot they don't care not even a little bit no loner vehicle they never call me for anything except the last two times that they pretended to fix it cleared the codes and sent me out the door and every time I call up to find out what's going on I got to sit there and listen to the ridiculous commercials on that on the phone about how great they are More
I will not do business with Whaling City Ford. I was offered $2500 which is near $4,000 below market value for my car if it was in its worst condition possible. My car in its worst condition sh I was offered $2500 which is near $4,000 below market value for my car if it was in its worst condition possible. My car in its worst condition shows as worth $6000 worst case , but my car is in near perfect condition. Was also told byconsider representative my car had a salvage title which it does not I have it in hand and sent a copy of it to dealer representative showing it was not a salvage title they didnt want to hear it told me Carfax showed it having a salvage title . After giving me a unfair tradin value for my car and quoting me a high monthy payment based on a $25,000 purchase , then had the nerve when I said ill take my chances with other options came back and said amd i quote "what other options" amd proceeded to sand me a cell picture of thier computer screen showing just the top of the carfax which by the way did not say salvage title but said sold at salvage auction. And last but not least said if i sell it brimg the cash in as money down . So as of cureent i listed it in facebook market for $8500 after that conversation figuring the buyer would negotiate it down and I just was hamded $7000 for it whixh I certainly will NOT be spending at Whaling City Ford ! I knew my leased Subaru had some equity in it, and I really wanted to own a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Ford worked with me every single step of the way to make the tricky transaction happen smoothly, lock really wanted to own a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. Ford worked with me every single step of the way to make the tricky transaction happen smoothly, locked me in right before a rate hike, and we landed on a monthly payment price *AND* an out-the-door price that was doable for me and my budget. These guys were awesome, especially Joe Lamonica! What a gem. Happy to be a new customer of Whaling City Ford and will share my positive experience there with everyone I know. They didn't try to force me to do anything I wasn't happy with - I told them what I wanted, and they made it happen. No frills. Fantastic. Highly recommend Joe!!! More
