September 4, 2009 Auto transaction gone September 4, 2009 Auto transaction gone wrong in March of 2008. After a year of unsuccessfully trying to get the issue resolve with Doan September 4, 2009 Auto transaction gone wrong in March of 2008. After a year of unsuccessfully trying to get the issue resolve with Doan Chrysler Jeep, collection agencies and attorney’s Rubin & Rothman, I am forced to file this case on a state level. I will attempt to show/outline the problem without being to confusing. 1.) I had major mechanical problems with 2004 Jeep financed by Capital One Auto finance with no warranty left, could not afford to pay car note and expensive repairs. Asked for a re-finance through COAF and was turned down although I had no late payments. 2.) Contacted by Doan on March 17, 2008 via video email, two days later I visited 4477 Ridge Rd w location in which I was given AP as a sales associate. 3.) I told him my situation and was looking for a trade on a reliable vehicle, he had another person to appraise my car and it turned out that I owed more on my car than it was worth. I asked about different scenarios from payments to a possible lease but, at that point my situation did not look good at all. Being that it was late evening and I wasn’t feeling well, I left them with a check in the amount of $1000 for a deposit on a 2008 Jeep that I test drove. I was assured that they would try their best to help me if, not I could pick my check up or they would shred it and I went home. 4.) The next morning I was called by Andy and told that they had worked out a deal and my payments would be under $600 (per my request) and they had gotten me a lease deal. I was told to bring my insurance, registration title and title in to pick up the new car. I went there, less than one hour and I was back at home recuperating from major surgery. I thought all was well and that every one that everyone at Doan that I spoke to or encountered was pleasant, helpful and still called or emailed me to make sure that I was happy with my new vehicle. 5.) A few months later I received a notice from Capital One saying that my old vehicle had been sold and I owed them approximately 10k. I brought this issue to Any Paris when I was there at the showroom for an oil change. He told me not to worry about it and that it happens occasionally and they would leave me alone. 6.) From I believe from July 2008 up until now I have been bullied, harassed, and a suit has been filed against me in the amount of $12,277.20 recently. I do not have nor can I get that they kind of money. My credit has been ruined because of it, and I am in jeopardy of losing everything I own. And due to all of this when it is time for me to relinquish the leased vehicle in March 2011 I am afraid that no one will ever finance me again. 7.) I have spoken with Doan’s General Manager on several occasions along with him helping me write an Answer to my civil case, but was advised to not submit it because it leaves Doan with no responsibility in this mess. In addition they wouldn’t even use letterhead stationary with their business logo. I have spoken with Doan’s general manager as recent as yesterday, giving him details as to the attorney response to my court filed answer.( Rubin & Rothman offered to settle for $9000 and monthly payments of $150 x 60 months), I have yet to give them a decision in hopes that Doan would help me with this situation. 8.) Filing this case with the New York Attorney General is the last resort for me and I was so hoping that this ordeal was a gross mistake and could be handled and done with long before now. Doan has the means to fix this situation but, I feel they just want me to go away and leave them alone. With a 12k judgment and now bad credit looming over my head I can not just disappear. By no means I am here to bad mouth Doan or say they talked nasty to me at any given time. I have experienced that type of treatment at Marina Dodge and Dick Ide, when I walked into Doan Dodge for the first time I was amazed at how well I was treated as a person. All I want from them is to fix a problem that got out of hand. More
This is my first brand new car purchase, and I will never buy American again, doan makes it sound like you'll be taken care of, but when the car breaks down, they do not care! my key fob broke, they told me buy American again, doan makes it sound like you'll be taken care of, but when the car breaks down, they do not care! my key fob broke, they told me it would be 89.00 to fix, I told them I certainly do not understand that the car is only a2 years old. that should of been warrtentized! once I took the car in because I was having difficutly turning the key to start it, I took the day off, rescedual all my customers. The shuttle can not take me home to home. after 10 min there, patted me on the back and told me to turn the wheel, 8 weeks later I went to the store 9 at night, well guess what? my car didn't turn over at all, so now the tow truck had to come down at 11:00 at night, so what a bunch of u know what, only if they didn't pat me on the back and send me away after 10 minutes, 8 weeks earlier. they had to replace the bushell barrings twice. the paint is bubbling around the wheel hello, I wash this car all the time, their is no excuse for this ,they won't even do any thing about that they say it has to be perferated prierced through!! they suck and so does FIRESTONE .
