Post sale service is terrible. Let me start by saying that I have nothing but nice things to say about my salesman Bobby, and the finance guy I worked with at West Broad Hyundai. I Let me start by saying that I have nothing but nice things to say about my salesman Bobby, and the finance guy I worked with at West Broad Hyundai. I have also previously purchased a vehicle from this dealership and my experience was nothing but positive. That being said. I will not be recommending this dealership based off my experience with my most recent purchase. Nothing went smoothly. I live in King William so this is not a convenient location for me to keep coming back to. I tried to get most of my research and valuing of my trade done while I was at work in Henrico. I stopped by on my lunch on Thursday to have my trade in looked at and let Bobby know what I wanted and what price I wanted to be at. He worked on getting me everything I wanted while I went back to work. Thursday night after work, I went back and selected my car. They made a big deal about “never letting a car leave dirty from the lot” and they were really backed up with their detail guy. So they ran it through the quick car wash and said I could take it home over night and bring it back in the morning to be detailed and given a full tank of gas. When I went to get in Friday morning, now that the car wasn’t wet, I noticed a gouge in the bumper. I told them about it when I dropped it off for the detailing and they said they would take care of it and sent me off with a loaner. Monday morning, there was no word about when the car would be finished. I did hear from the finance guy who let me know that he had actually gotten me a better rate and needed me to resign some papers for a lower monthly payment. I let him know I wasn’t trying to make multiple trips to the dealership and I would come in whenever my car was finally ready. I followed up with Bobby and he said it would probably be Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday they let me know that my car was headed back to the dealership, I didn’t know they had sent it anywhere. Around lunch they said it was ready for me to come and pick up, so I left work again and went down to get it. This is where my frustration lies. When I got to the dealership, it still hadn’t been detailed. They said they had cleaned the interior which they did not. The windows were smeared and difficult to see out of in the sunlight, and all that had happened was the dash was wiped down. They said it couldn’t be washed for a week because of the bumper, so to bring it back AGAIN. I went to the dealership on Thursday to purchase a brand new car. It had just under a full tank of gas, 18 miles on the odometer and should have been cleaned. I dropped it off to the dealership with an additional 60 miles on it from driving home, to work, and back again. What I came home with on Tuesday was a dirty car, with nearly 150 miles on it, and about a half a tank of gas after being promised a detail and a full tank. If the car hadn’t been detailed yet, I shouldn’t have been told it was ready. If you say you are going to fill the tank, you shouldn’t drive the car an additional 50+ miles and then give it back to the customer with less than half a tank. If you’re going to sell a BRAND NEW car, it should be inspected prior to leaving the lot to make sure there isn’t body damage. I shouldn’t have to leave work yet again, or waste my Saturday to bring this car in to the dealership when I have already made 4 trips. I sent the above letter to Hyundai Customer service, and directly to the GM 2 weeks ago.. I have waited to review this dealership until hearing something back... Hyundai responded the same day by saying they had notified all “appropriate parties” and that it needed to be handled at a local level. To date, almost 2 weeks later, no one from Page Auto Group, or from West Broad Hyundai have reached out to discuss the issues I had while buying my new car. If the poor experience I had was not reason enough to not recommend this dealership, their lack of concern and follow up is. Now, not only will I not be a returning customer to West Broad Hyundai, I will also not be trying my luck on any of Page’s other dealerships. My husband and I purchase new vehicles every 2 years. Luckily, there are plenty more dealerships in the area that I am sure will be glad to handle our business. More
