On behalf of the dealership, I apologize that we offended you. You are absolutely correct that we should not laugh our customers. At the same time, we do want car buying to be fun. Because of this, the sales team may joke around or laugh to make the buying process more fun. An example of this is if a customer makes an unreasonably low offer, a sales person may make a joke that if he were to accept the offer, then the customer would have to drive him to the unemployment office afterwards. I am not familiar with your specific visit, but I do know that your salesperson enjoys his job very much and has tremendous fun doing it. He does make jokes, and most of his customers love him for it. I have spoken with your salesperson and stressed the importance of always engaging the customers in a professional manner, even if the negotiations become tense and an agreement can’t be reached. We apologize for having offended you and thank you for the referral that you mentioned.
