I am 39 years old and never in my life filed a formal complaint until now. This deanship service is just awful. I leased a 2010 Honda Odessey EX-L. From the get go I should have just walked out at the complaint until now. This deanship service is just awful. I leased a 2010 Honda Odessey EX-L. From the get go I should have just walked out at the time of purchase. I called and spoke with a sales agent who is no longer there. I was quoted a lease price on a specific vehicle that I verified in stock and I told the sales agent I would be in to purchase it. He was holding the vehicle for me. As soon as I arrived I was told by my sales rep that he had made a mistake and the vehicle I had been quoted on also had a DVD system and would cost me extra. Near my lease end date I received several letters from the sales manager saying that they are in need low mileage vehicles and would even pay me more than book value for my vehicle and swap my lease out early for a new vehicle lease. When I called them to ask about trading my vehicle in early they wanted to charge me $2500 extra. This happened numerous times. Two months before my vehicle return date I brought the vehicle in for a service oil change. The service department was suggesting I purchase new tires. I told them my lease end date was in 2 months and asked whether or not it was required. They said no, I than asked why were they trying to get me to purchase new tires and they said they were just getting low on the tire tred but not required. When I went to return my vehicle it was a nightmare. No one at Wesley Chapel Honda knew what to do with regards to a lease return. In addition no one wanted to deal with me once I told them I was not going to lease another vehicle. I didn’t not have my vehicle inspection report with me as I assumed they would have it at the dealership. They didn’t want to help me without it and told me to go home. I asked them if they could call Honda financial and request it and the sales manager told me no. I asked if I could call Honda financial services and have them refax the inspection report and they said yes that’s fine. I had to than ask the sales manager for their fax number and was like “Hello can someone help me here”. They made it very obvious they were annoyed to deal with me and very apparent no one wanted to deal with a customer who wasn’t going to purchase another vehicle. I finally got the inspection report and I signed some paper work but nothing was given to me as a receipt. I asked them if they wanted to make sure the extra key, headphones for the DVD player ext were in the vehicle and the salesman told me I was fine. I asked about the plate return and he said “Oh we will take care of it”. Two months later after being on the phone with Honda financial numerous times they have no record of my return. I was assured this wouldn’t affect my credit report and that they have been leaving several messages (including with me on the phone) with a Justin at the dealership to track down the vehicle. Nothing has happened, my credit report now reflects that my vehicle which I don’t own is 2 payments past due. I called the dealership and spoke with Justine who told me he never was left a message by Honda Financial. I called Honda financial back and told them this today and they said that’s not true. I have been on the phone constantly trying to get this resolved and Honda financial who claims they can’t do anything until the dealership reports receipt of the vehicle. I have never, ever experienced anything like this in my life. I am a huge Honda fan and have owned several of them. Wesley Chapel Honda is just plain terrible. I tried calling the dealership GM who is on vacation and isn’t available and neither is the owner. Really really poor customer service, I was just denied credit because of this and no one in the dealership wants to address this. Honda financial said they are now dealing with the lease return manager by the name of Larry. Why wasn’t he handling this from the start? Save yourself the headache go to another Honda dealership. I am just shocked at their gross negligence and lack of customer service and care for a customer. More
I would recommend this dealership for easy maintenance. I don't really trust them with more complicated maintenance because I've picked their brains about some problems I've had and they don't really seem I don't really trust them with more complicated maintenance because I've picked their brains about some problems I've had and they don't really seem to have a good knowledge of my Honda Civic Hybrid. If I need more complicated repairs I usually take my car downtown. Also, these guys contact me almost every other week wanting to buy my car, sell me a new car, service my car, survey me on my service experience, survey me on "car buying experience". Ironically, I went in because they told me they wanted to buy my car. It didn't work out but I got a follow-up survey asking why I didn't buy a car. I told them I had no intention of buying a car (and told Wesley Chapel Honda that when they called). The surveyor was surprised to hear me say that and didn't ask any more questions after that. I assume it was a bait and switch tactic to get me in the door that didn't work out. Any way, I don't think they are malicious, at least not from my experiences so far, but I don't think they are all that great either. Added: Wow, after reading these reviews I'm a bit surprised. It's like there are two different Wesley Chapel Hondas. I also found it odd that 9 people reviewed the dealership on 10/30/2012 - 8 for new sales. I usually go in on Saturday and rarely see anyone looking at cars but I do see a lot of people in the service area. More
Terrible customer service after car was purchased. Items promised during purchase have STILL NOT been delivered and repeated phone calls to the manager and managing partner have not been returned. Mileage on the vehicle was falsified and not actual mileage at time of delivery. We called to have it corrected and have been told repeatedly that it was "in the mail", six months and we are still waiting. The car purchased was used with a limited warranty and we have had issues from the very beginning. Within two weeks of purchase the car had to be towed and was repaired but now a couple months later we are back in the same situation with car troubles. Tyler Hill had assured us that the car have been completely checked for any issues and was in excellent shape. We were sold a car that within 6 months is not any good. We now have an $18000 hunk of metal. Thank you Wesley Chapel Honda you have "MADE" our day. More
