Watertown Ford responded

Hi J and D, We are very sorry to see you so upset. We had every intention of calling you when a Fiesta was available to drive, per your conversation with Gerry on June 5th. I wish you gave us a call instead of assuming we forgot you, because we didn't. The only reason that I know who you are and was able to email you at that address is that you were on the list to be called. We lined up the initials in your username, so you must now know you were on the list, as you were only here a few minutes and did not leave any info at the last visit. Regarding seeing Fiestas online, Ford corporate posts inbound vehicles on the Ford site they provide us, as well as on Ford Direct, with no interaction from us, as soon as they are shipped. They do this as these vehicles are for sale and quite often sell before arrival, especially Fiestas. I hope you take me up on the offer to bring one to your home or office, or come in, now that we have two Fiesta models in stock. Again, we apologize for any confusion regarding the site and availability. Up until now it has truly never been a problem. Like I said in my email, a problem once is once too many for me and we are looking to find ways to resolve it. Currently, since we post actual pix of all of our new vehicles, people always seem to call or email regarding availability if there are no pictures. I will be adding that recommendation to our email responses just to be sure. We always recommend ideally an appointment, or a call to verify availability before making the trip, just to be safe. It is easy, you just click on the specific vehicle, say when you'd like to see it and our Internet team checks availability and gets back to you almost immediately. We even put the vehicle aside while the customers are en route and make it unavailable to others during that time. Again, I wish you chose to communicate rather than assume we had just forgotten you. Please look at our other reviews; you will see we are making people happy. The Sales rep you had, Al Heller, does such a good job that you'll see the response before yours was somebody who didn't even buy here, but was so happy with the treatment Al gave him, that he felt compelled to write a review for him. Regarding badmouthing other dealers, I investigated quite thoroughly. This is our first negative review and I was very upset to see it. Three witnesses, all asked separately, said the only mention regarding other dealers was in telling you how scarce these vehicles are. As I'm told, we mentioned we heard from customers that some dealers are selling Fiestas at over MSRP, but we are not. We asked you for more info about specifically what was said, so we'd have both sides, but got no reply both times we asked you for clarification. I have to believe the multiple witnesses, as I trust them and they would have no motivation to lie to me. Honestly, nobody here has a reason to badmouth other dealers. Perhaps it seemed to you that saying some dealers are getting over sticker is badmouthing other dealers. I don't know because we never got to discuss it. Honestly, we don't want other people badmouthing us and we actually have great relations with all the local dealers and swap inventory regularly with them, so I'm still baffled on that issue. Please know, we are even more frustrated about Fiesta availability than anyone, but we did indeed have you on the list to call and had every intention to do so, when one was available. We never called and said we had one to drive and that was how we had left it with you, by your own account. Again, we would be glad to show you one and let you drive it, as available. This can be here, at your home, or if you wanted to try on a lunch hour at work locally. We do that regularly for our customers and would still be proud to have you as one. Feel free to contact me anytime, you have my contact info. Sincerely, Peter King General Manager Watertown Ford (617)924-3673 x 202
