The check engine light came on on our daughters 2015 Tucson. We live over 30 miles from the nearest dealership and were concerned about driving the car that distance with the check engine light on. Instead, we took it to a local car mechanic who read and documented the error code. The code was P1326 which was the knock sensor. Since there was a service bulletin for this issue, they advised that we drive it to the dealership. They cleared the error so we could drive the car to the dealership. When we arrived, we were informed that since the error was erased there was nothing that could be done, instead we were told to drive the vehicle until it failed again? So instead of taking steps to correct a known problem, my daughter is now driving an unreliable vehicle, with a known issue that the dealership refused to repair under warrantee. Someone needs to reconsider the stupid policy that is causing my daughter to drive an unreliable vehicle. Stop the stupid! More
