Fixed Price & Above Market on Pre-Owned This is a fixed price dealership where the price of the vehicle is what you see - problem is they might have a price drop this afternoon, or tomorrow This is a fixed price dealership where the price of the vehicle is what you see - problem is they might have a price drop this afternoon, or tomorrow morning, or the next day. Don't waste your time going in trying to negotiate. Complete waste of time. I guess I should have just stayed at home and shoped the internet for the best price? I can almost guarantee that if you buy something here you will over-pay. The salesman actually told me that they were in one of the wealthiest counties in the US and their customers would pay it. Did The Right Thing I purchased a new 2018 Silverado from Walker, and within a couple days had an issue that was the fault of neither myself nor the dealership. While a I purchased a new 2018 Silverado from Walker, and within a couple days had an issue that was the fault of neither myself nor the dealership. While a lot of other dealers probably would have told me tough luck, they did the right thing and took care of the problem. Ronnie and Jonathon were great during the purchase and I got a fair deal, but I give kudos to Jay Watters the service manager. He really took care of everything, kept me updated, and seemed to really care about making it right from the get-go. That's something the big corporate-owned dealerships probably wouldn't, or wouldn't be allowed to, do for a customer. I thank them for the way they handled my situation. More
Dishonest, Made the Problem Worse! First off- they were super great to me in the service department UNTIL I left a good review on their website. Then it all started to go downhill. W First off- they were super great to me in the service department UNTIL I left a good review on their website. Then it all started to go downhill. We started having problems when our 2002 Chevrolet Malibu started overheating. We put more coolant into the surge tank, it filled up fine, but the next day it overheated and the surge tank was empty. Suspecting a leak, I took it to the Walker Chevrolet Service Center because they were so helpful when I was trying to get my vehicle to pass emissions just a month prior. They fit me into their busy schedule, which was really great of them to do, and did a pressure test. Almost an hour later, they came back to tell me they found no leaks; however, the whole cooling system was "gunky" (they described it like the film in a fish tank that hasn't been cleaned) and they believed it had never been taken care of in the life of the vehicle. They offered to flush it- twice to be certain- to get the gunk out, then the would refill it and pressure test again to make sure they didn't miss anything. The quote they gave me was a few dollars less than what the total came to, so I was unimpressed with that part. I was also unimpressed with $300 to flush my system, that seemed excessive. But I paid and they gave me back my car and said I was all good, no leaks were found. FOUR days later, the car started SMOKING while my husband was driving home from work and suddenly went from fine to overheating. We took it back to Walker Chevrolet the next day to try to figure out what was going on. I had an appointment, and even arrived for that appointment a little early, but it still took over three hours to figure out what was wrong. They updated me once during that time- the first time, they said it was going to take several hours and offered to shuttle me home...until they noticed (apparently for the first time since coming in??) that I had a toddler and they said they couldn't move my car seat over to get me home and we'd both just have to wait. The only other time they talked to me was to tell me what the problem was. THREE gaskets were suddenly leaking and the car needed $1200+ in work to take care of. I asked how that could happen since we just took our car in less than a week ago and there were no leaks. TJ talked around the problem- saying the "gunk" from before was "masking" the problem (though they cleaned out the "gunk" and tested again, according to them, so shouldn't they have found it?) then saying that the problem was driving it around when it was in bad condition (they had told me less than a week prior that the cooling system was fine, so I had no reason NOT to drive it, I trusted their assessment). When I expressed that they might be responsible- at least for not actually solving the problem the first time and telling me it was fine to drive which made the problem worse- he just kept talking around these points. Then he suggested that if I didn't have $1200 to fix it, that it might be good for a trade in. I said I had to talk to my husband, and they offered to get my car seat to their shuttle car and get me home. I'd already had to WALK with my toddler to a Walgreens to get lunchables to eat in their waiting area AND they had woken my toddler from taking her afternoon nap on a chair in the waiting area. I only did these things because they said they COULDN'T take me home before. So they shuttle me home and my husband and I decided to trade in the car...but somewhere else. We didn't trust Walker Chevrolet with our car any longer. When I went back to pick up the car, they brought it around for me and said they'd had to jump start it. They tried to tell me the battery needed additional testing and there might be more wrong with it and they needed to keep it longer, but I told them to give me the keys to my car and let me leave. They kind of laughed at me and shrugged their shoulders like "good luck." They went from helpful to condescending practically overnight. Until we could trade in the car at a different dealership, we had to jump start the car every time we started it because the car would overheat if we drove it long enough to get the battery charged back up. The battery should not have been bad, it was only a year old!! They killed my battery in the one night they had it and tried to use that as an excuse to keep my car there. I suspect they wanted to do that so they could give me pennies for my car in trade in value and get me to buy a car at their location. I got a Toyota and am more than happy with my decision. My husband and I have sworn off Chevrolet for all future car purchases, just in case we'd ever need to bring it to Walker Chevrolet for any reason. (They also never gave me the opportunity to review this visit on their website. Once they get a good review, the service goes downhill fast. I wouldn't trust any review on their site, at least not the good ones!) More
Lack Of Integrity I drove to Walker Chevrolet to see a 2007 Chevy Malibu and was greeted by a very friendly young man named Austin. He was very helpful and professional I drove to Walker Chevrolet to see a 2007 Chevy Malibu and was greeted by a very friendly young man named Austin. He was very helpful and professional and assisted me promptly. I really liked the appearance of the vehicle and how the vehicle performed during my test drive. I advised Austin that I would be interested in possibly purchasing the vehicle but that I would have to have my mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle. Austin went and talked to his manager and came back and said that they could not allow me to take the vehicle and have my mechanic or any other mechanic look at the vehicle. If they were selling me a mechanically sound vehicle why would they not allow an independent mechanic to inspect the vehicle? The answer is simple a lack of integrity. I would not recommend to anyone to purchase a vehicle from this company. C. Hayden More

It was used as a demo and had 5,000 miles on it. The sales manager drive it. I took it home on Thursday before Labor Day weekend. I returned it on Tuesday after labor for them to install leather seats, back up camera, bed cover and liner, tint front windows. I was told it would take two to three days. I still don't have the truck after two weeks. Also there was a loud humming noise in the rear end. They had to install new bearings in the rear end. How did the Sales Manager not hear this noise when he was driving it. More
Decent prices for a dealer, but a bit slow I've come to Walker Chevrolet for quite some time to have work done on my vans. The staff are great, the work is great; no complaints there, for sure. I've come to Walker Chevrolet for quite some time to have work done on my vans. The staff are great, the work is great; no complaints there, for sure. Commission models are sorely outdated and pointless, but this is a dealer, and dealer owners are typically way behind the times on modern business. Walker is absolutely no exception. Very outdated business model. The work was slow. Even a scheduled rudimentary oil change and inspection took over two hours my last visit. Price reflects that, however, since they use the Dexos oil made for my van and charge less than the 10-minute oil change places. So, I just grab my laptop and work from their cubicle farm on free WiFi and I just pass the time. So, if you don't mind an old-school dealer service model, and latency in the work performed, it's worth coming here to actually save a little cash (for some things, anyway---parts are still outrageous as with most other dealers) More
Stay far away! I purchased a brand new 2017 Malibu from them at the beginning of April. This car has been nothing but an absolute nightmare. The 2nd day I had the ca I purchased a brand new 2017 Malibu from them at the beginning of April. This car has been nothing but an absolute nightmare. The 2nd day I had the car, I noticed a strip of LED lights hanging out from under the dash. It took the service department 2 weeks to get this fixed. Their communication through this whole issue was pretty much non existent. A month later, on Mothers Day, after walking out from the zoo, my brand new car was completely unresponsive. After I was told roadside assistance would be about an hour, i finally figured out how to unlock the car manually and popped the hood. After wiggling some random wires it finally came on. This happened about 4 more times that day.. The next business day I took my new car in with yet another problem. I was called later that day and told that it was some loose battery module wires and they had seen a few like that. No apology or anything.. Not even a month after that issue, I had been having some shifting/acceleration issues and hearing some loud roaring noises. It didn't/doesn't happen all the time, but it was/is still an issue. They told me after test driving it that they couldn't find anything wrong with it and pretty much that unless an error light or indicator was on then it couldn't be diagnosed and that the loud roaring was road noise. Still to this day, my car will not accelerate properly at times and the loud(will vibrate the whole car)roaring noise still happens. After posting a negative review on Facebook, I was contacted by Peter to figure out a solution to my problems. I sent him pretty much the same message as above, he told me that he was passing this message on to his GM and they would be in contact shortly.. That was over a week ago and after several attempts to make contact, I still haven't heard anything. I want out of this car. It is a lemon and I am completely dissatisfied. I really feel like they should be accommodating me and figuring out a way to get me in a different vehicle, or honestly giving me my old car back. After spending the kind of money I did on a brand new car, I expect superior customer service, I do not feel like that is to much to ask. Steer clear of Walker Chevy if you want to be treated like a valued customer. This whole experience has soured my taste for Chevrolet and the customer service they provide. More
