"Certified" Pre-Owned - A JOKE I purchased a "Certified" Pre-Owned Volvo and it needed work in less than 1 month. Already, 6 visits in only four months of ownership. Terrible Service. Outrageous prices. I spent over $6000 at this establishment in the last 2 years. They put four new tires on my car last September that wore out in 6 months because the work they did caused a new problem which they should have known about as it is common to Volvos. (I am guilty in that I did not research the issue, but I take my car to the Volvo dealer because I assumed incorrectly that they are Volvo experts). They are wanting to charge me $2000 more for all new tires ($1000) and over $1100 to fix the problem they should have fixed last time to prevent this problem. They are charging me $130 for an oil change and $148 for a diagnostic even though their website advertises free diagnostics. They are completely uncooperative and uncaring. All I asked is that they wave the diagnostic charge because it is supposed to be free and they refuse. More
Terrible service department I have been trying to get the DVD player of my volvo XC 90 fixed since May 2016. I started at Volvo of Nashville. Although their service representati I have been trying to get the DVD player of my volvo XC 90 fixed since May 2016. I started at Volvo of Nashville. Although their service representative was rude and gruff I continued to make an appointment there because our car was under warranty. It is now March of 2017 and they have yet to fix the problem. Another person was in charge the last time I took it in in January and he ordered a part for the DVD player and did say it would be covered under warranty even though the warranty had expired because the original problem was never fixed. It has taken me a long time to get this fixed because they needed the car for days at a time to diagnose the issue and I work outside the home so couldn't be without a vehicle often. Now they say they wilt fix it under warranty. They would not honor the previous person's plan even though he had already ordered the part. I was told that I was not allowed to speak to anyone above the parts manager, who has been there for all of 3 weeks and used to work on the sales floor. He told me to "open a ticket on volvo's website." Also, this summer when my brake light came on and it said emergency, possible brake failure, I called volvo of nashville and they said they could make me an appointment for sometime the next week. Since I was concerned for my and my children's safety I took it to Midas who looked at it right away. I will never purchase another volvo because I would have to deal with this service department. My mom drove a volvo for 40 years and loved them. I am appalled at the customer service of this department and the owner of the dealership as he, too, per this parts manager, refuses to speak to me and refuses to honor their prior commitment. If you can avoid going to this dealer or service dept I would. Darrell Waltrip Volvo in Franklin was much better to deal with. More
