Really awful staff. Dreadful really. For cars that are as high quality as Volvo’s, this place misses the “quality” of coherent staff. There are appropriate questions and comments and then there are those ask high quality as Volvo’s, this place misses the “quality” of coherent staff. There are appropriate questions and comments and then there are those asked to pass judgment. It seems as if the higher ups are on something , due to their lack of consistency. They are independently owned. They should be able to hone their customer service. I would not recommend this place for sales or service. Run don’t walk away. More
I’ve never written a negative review, but I had a horrible experience at this dealership and hope my story will help others avoid this place. My husband & I have been looking for an Audi Q5. Our sear horrible experience at this dealership and hope my story will help others avoid this place. My husband & I have been looking for an Audi Q5. Our search led us to Volvo of Nashville as someone had just brought in a trade. They didn’t budge a cent off the asking price which is fine. We test drove, slept on it, came back and paid cash for the car. The salesman probably spent 30 minutes total with us throughout the whole process. The day after we bought it, the check engine light came on. Panicking, I took it into Firestone where they told me I had to take it to Audi. In the meantime I emailed the salesman just to let him know. (I understand the car was sold as is.) Both parties very amicable. After a $200 diagnostic test and three hours of wasted time spent at Audi, we found out the car we had owned for 48 hours needed nearly $3,000 worth of repairs. This is after the salesman at Volvo claimed they had just replaced everything that needed replacing. Such a lie- the car didn’t even have coolant in it. Devastated, I reached out to the salesman who quite frankly could not have cared less. They refused to work with us at all. And I understand they didn’t have to. But they didn’t treat us like people that handed over a very large chunk of cash they didn’t even have to work for. I would have been happy for them to recognize our frustration and offer to either fix the issue that they could fix (coolant leak- they literally sold the car to us with zero coolant in it) or just offer like $200 toward the repair- or something. I fully believe they never even popped the hood of that car; they just turned around and sold it blind. Either that or they cleared the check engine light in hopes it wouldn’t come back. They very much had a “sucks for you” attitude and didn’t think we’d actually return it, but we did. Once they have your money they don’t care about you or how much you spent with them. And after reading all of these one star reviews, I feel even more confident that they’re shady. Take your business elsewhere. I wish I could give zero stars. EDITED TO ADD: they fixed the car, and raised the purchase price 2K a few weeks later. We went in to purchase the car, they wouldn’t sell it to us. Claimed we were “problem buyers” ... these guys are total jerks. Sold us a car and the check engine light comes on the next day, but yes WE were the problem. Take your money elsewhere. There are nicer people to give it to! More

We recently leased an SUV and Bob (our sales rep) was fantastic! He was highly knowledgeable about the inventory they had and about the features different trim levels offer. He truly has a customer-first attitude and we loved working with him. I've been taking my used Volvo sedan in for service for 2+ years at this location and have had great experiences as well. I love the convenient location and the ease of getting in/out of the lot. The staff is helpful and trustworthy. Overall, 5 stars! More

Everything I asked for I didn't buy a Volvo here, I bought a Subaru that someone traded in for a Volvo. An ad for the car popped up in the evening while I was car shopping I didn't buy a Volvo here, I bought a Subaru that someone traded in for a Volvo. An ad for the car popped up in the evening while I was car shopping online, so I sent an email for the used inventory sales manager, and he responded early the next morning. I called when the Dealership opened to ask what I needed to do to secure that vehicle. John told me that the car had 3 open recalls and he had dropped it off at the Subaru dealer to get those taken care of. He called me back later when he picked up the car, and I showed up to do the paperwork right as he was sitting down to lunch. He threw his lunch in a drawer and took care of me first, even though I insisted he should go ahead and eat.John Phillips took care of my car buying experience and made everything happen for me as quickly as possible, even though I could tell things were stressful around the dealership because of all the things going on about the Coronavirus pandemic. Thank you, John Phillips and Volvo of Nashville! More
I leased a Volvo XC90 T8 when I lived in Georgia. I leased because the hybrid technology was new to Volvo and I wasn’t sure how good it would be. Good for first 2 years, then started having issues. leased because the hybrid technology was new to Volvo and I wasn’t sure how good it would be. Good for first 2 years, then started having issues. I decided to return at lease end. I was relocated to Nashville for work, so had to take the car to Volvo of Nashville. I met with the owner who was both rude and unhelpful. I was told by Volvo corporate that I could drop off at any dealership without making an appoint. Volvo of Nashville refused to accept the car because I brought it in on a Saturday. I asked if I could leave it and have them take responsibility if something happened to it on their lot. They said I could leave it, but if something happens to the car, it’s not their problem. I finally asked if he was from TN originally because most people in TN are pleasant but he is rude. He walked away and said he was through talking to me. Saw other reviews talking about how rude the owner of this dealership is. Perhaps he should stop interacting with the public. I will never go back to this dealership. More

After a horrible conversation, I asked why he was being so rude and he said “because you’re calling incessantly on a Monday morning, the busiest time for a car dealership.” I said I was calling so early because I am without my car, I have 3 children to get to school and my husband is deployed so the sooner I get my car fixed the better. I also informed him that I called during business hours so I’m not sure why he was so annoyed that I was calling. I have never been treated so rudely. When I asked if there was someone else I could speak to, he told me no. When I asked for his supervisors information, he told me it was the owner and he would give me his information. So basically, I was treated very poorly and there was nothing I could do about it. Fine. I called corporate and they gave me the information for Darrell Waltrip Volvo and they were absolutely fantastic. Kind, professional, helpful and respectful. I will never go to Volvo of Nashville again. More

At our previous service center in Chicago they always washed the vehicle after each service. We have been this service center six times and never received a complementary wash however customers sitting all around me received one. Hopefully someone is monitoring this review site to give me some insight or is there a special code word or something? I know it may seem pretty to some but I should receive the same customer service as any other service paying customer. More
