I purchased a precertified vehicle from West Volvo. The car that was sold to me was not in precertified condition, as multiple issues needed to be addressed after the first week of owning the vehicle. One issue was the excessive amount of wax build-up, from the previous owner I assume. I have purchased two precertified vehicles with Honda and Toyota and didn't have to go back for maintenance for years! This is not what I expected from a luxury dealer's precertified vehicle. I went back twice, did what they could and with the rest, they said this model will just be this way. Why would they sell a car that wasn't up to the Volvo quality in the first place?! After my disappointing service visit, I told Paul Tavares, the finance manager, I wanted out of this vehicle. He said let me get Jose. Jose came by and didn't even introduce himself... I thought he was a services manager. He asked me what my issues were. Since I thought he was the service manager I brought up the service issues. He said since they couldn't fix the complaints I have with the vehicle, what could they do to make me more satisfied with my purchase. So, I brought up the wax issue. He told me he could take care of that at least. He wrote down the details of a body shop on his business card. I drove off and read, Jose Rodriguez Sales Manager. I should have discussed how to get out of the vehicle but left satisfied that at least it will look better after all this. I have a busy schedule but was able to get to the shop a month later. I explained to the shop that Volvo would be taking care of this. The guy called Jose and then when they hung up the phone, he told me I could come back tomorrow. After the service was completed, the guy told me that Volvo wasn't going to take care of it. I was in shock and explained what Jose told me. I called Volvo and received no answer, so I drove there directly. Jose did not greet me and then when I asked him why would he send me to a shop to get service done and then deny that you guys would pay!? He rudely responded that I was imagining things and walked away from me saying he was done here. I continued on to remind him of what the conversation and situation was in November but continued to deny it, twisted my words, and wanted me to look like I was crazy. He degraded and insulted me in front of the entire lobby of customers and staff. He wanted nothing to do with me and just wanted me out of there. He got his money and could care less what happens to me or the vehicle. Quick sales. His unprofessional and narcissistic behavior is revolting coming from someone in SERVICE! I don't even want to represent the Volvo brand after this experience. More
The worst dealership ever . Jose Rodriguez the sales manager was so rude to me and disrespectful. Did help me at all .
