Good afternoon Ms. Lundstom, I am sorry that we were unable to satisfy you. You were not lied to. Upon Volvo Certification, back in September, the tires measured at 6/32 and were in good condition. This measurement passes Volvo Certification. The other dealer, closer to your home that serviced your vehicle, recommended tires at 5/32. We recommend them at 4/32...keep in mind, 2/32 passes Maryland State Inspection. With scheduled services ten thousand miles apart, most dealers will advise for new tires at this point of wear so that clients know they will need tires possibly before their next service depending where and how they drive. I am sorry that there is so much construction going on near your home for the light rail as you told me. When we inspected your tires in our shop, we saw the previous plugs that you had already done. Unfortunately, you had yet another nail in your front right tire that was too close to the sidewall to be able to be plugged and be safe. If you remember, we we both went to the parts department and our Parts Manager, discounted tires for you. You said that you would "shop tires closer to home". I followed up with a voicemail a couple of weeks later and never heard back from you. Also, I had emailed you to please make your next service appointment through me and I would get you a discount. As an extra gesture to gain your happiness, the email said that I would get your car cleaned inside & out as well after said said service. I would like to apologize for raising my voice when we were out front. With Rt. 50 being fifty yards from our parking lot, it can be frustrating to communicate as the traffic passes by.
