I moved my business from another VW dealer to this dealership because the service man I had come to trust after 11 years and 235,000 miles switched his employment to this dealer. He has never pushed me to have more work done on my car than I feel comfortable with at the time, yet always makes sure I understand when items need more immediate attention. More
I had some work done at another shop that resulted in some issues for which they could or did not resolve. VW of South Charlotte identified and repaired the issues. The other establishment has now said t some issues for which they could or did not resolve. VW of South Charlotte identified and repaired the issues. The other establishment has now said that VW "made up" or falsified the problems, over charged me / charged for stuff that wasn't necessary and insulted their professional standards. Between the he said / she said, I would like to think that VW was in the right. Regardless, I have paid an additional $521 for work I had already paid $600+ for. More
Having been to several other dealerships in the past this was by far the best experience. Erick was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very eager to make things happen for my fiance and myself. I will begin by saying that I always went to Carolina VW for service because of the service staff and technicians. When they left and went to Volkswagen of South Charlotte, I decided to move as well. The technician, Josh Hines, does all of the work on my car and I will not let another person work on it. To be quite honest, I am not happy about the detailer messing up my front bumper by scratching it in several places the day I bought it, then pressure washing the paint off the right side of the bumper t messing up my front bumper by scratching it in several places the day I bought it, then pressure washing the paint off the right side of the bumper the following day (Sunday) when I brought it back up to the dealership to have it repaired and detailed again because of the smudges and smears all over the interior and windows. I had to bring it back on 3 occasions to finally get the bumper fixed! When my wife brought it up there Wednesday the guys put a bumper from another car on my car that was completely chipped up in about 10 or 12 places and full of touch up paint, which I could still smell at 5:30pm when I got home and looked over it. UNACCEPTABLE! So I brought it back on Thursday to get yet another bumper installed, and I'm still not satisfied with the results based on the fact that now, my front grille has scratch marks all over it where the service tech had to keep taking it out of one bumper and then install it in yet another bumper, just to be removed again, and installed in the 3rd and final bumper. What is the deal? Now I assure you that I understand no new car is perfect due to the shipping on semi trucks, test driving, and varying weather conditions, but the car I bought was perfect until the final minutes of the sale. Seems as if nobody had the courtesy to care that this is someones 25,000 Jetta, and the new owner might not appreciate the careless acts performed by your detail department and service department. One thing is for sure, I will not let the detail department touch my car ever again! Based on the actions taken, I'm not sure that I should even trust the service department to keep the maintenance up on my brand new vehicle. I am very disappointed! More
