Ty Matthews was the BEST salesman I have ever dealt with. Granted I have not dealt with many, but I brought along a team of men who have cumulatively probably purchased 30 cars. He is not a pushy salesman, knows his product and tells it like it is. There is no hidden agenda with this man. He is honest, friendly and will go above and beyond to help you. Not to mention genuine. You walk away feeling like you just made friends with him, and want to keep in touch. He follows up with you to make sure your car is running well and to see if there is anything that he could do. I am not a person who usually goes out of her way to write reviews about people, but in Ty Matthews case, I felt the need to have to tell the world that if you are going to purchase a Volkswagon go to Volkswagon of South Charlotte and specifically ask for Ty Matthews. I did not experience the high pressure sale that I have experienced in the past at other dealerships. I was encouraged to test drive a new vehicle. Because the dealership did not have exactly what I was experienced in the past at other dealerships. I was encouraged to test drive a new vehicle. Because the dealership did not have exactly what I was looking for in stock, the salesman offered to locate the vehicle. The salesman then told me about a current year vehicle with 5000 miles that was available. This vehicle was not in my first color choice. The salesman offered to let me keep the vehicle over night. I purchased that vehicle the next day. The following morning I experienced a mechanical issue with the vehicle. I returned to the dealership that morning. The service department identified the problem. A replacement part was not available. I was told it would be two to three days before the repairs could be completed. The service department acquired an rental vehicle for my use at their cost. The salesman called to follow up on the sale from the day before. I advised of the service related issue. I expressed my concern that the relationship with the dealership was not starting out very positive. Less than 8 hours later I received another call from the salesman. The salesman advised me the repairs had been completed and I could pick up my vehicle. Mechanical things break and have to be repaired. What makes this salesman, service department, and dealership stand above the rest is their commitment to excellent customer service. It is the recovery and resolution of this issue that I will highly recommend the salesman and dealership to friends and family. More
The service team at Volkswagen of South Charlotte is exceptional. When my car requires service in addition to the scheduled maintenance, they take me back into the service area and have the service tec exceptional. I feel my car is in good hands because I can trust the service team. And I feel I can drive my car with confidence because the safe functioning of the car is the service team's priority. More
Last visit was for routine oil change & replacement of bulbs & windshield wipers. Service was quick & professional. As always, another great service experience. I called the day before and made the appointment for 8:00 AM. I was received very quickly with friendly with helpful service personnel.I was going to take the shu day before and made the appointment for 8:00 AM. I was received very quickly with friendly with helpful service personnel.I was going to take the shuttle but Joerg said he could have me out in one hour, and one hour it was. He also noticed my inspection was coming up and suggested doing it now and two days later I received a request for the inspection to renew my tag. Timing was right on. I really appreciate my car being washed. Another great timing experience. Keep up the great service and customer trust. More

I took my car to VW of South Charlotte to have two small problems diagnosed and repaired. Joerg listened carefully to my concerns and seemed to genuinely care about repairing my car. I purchased my 2005 GTI at Carolina Volkswagen. I received very good service from the service team there until they left the dealership. I received an email from Volkswagen of South Charlotte and received very good service from the service team there until they left the dealership. I received an email from Volkswagen of South Charlotte and noted that the service team I had worked with at Carolina Volkswagen was now at Volkswagen of South Charlotte. I now have my car serviced at Volkswagen of South Charlotte (even though it is a longer drive from my home) because of the excellent service I receive there. They listen closely when I explain what my service needs are, they examine the car closely and bring to my attention anything that needs to be serviced, they explain clearly what those service needs are (meaning they take me into the service area and show me what needs to be done), and they keep me updated while I wait for the service to be completed. They fixed a problem another car dealership couldn't find. I had taken my son's car to another car place to replace bulb.
