BUYERS BEWARE. We bought a used hyundai elantra in this dealership and my experienced is the worst I have ever encountered in any other dealership I deal with. Br We bought a used hyundai elantra in this dealership and my experienced is the worst I have ever encountered in any other dealership I deal with. Bryan the salesman, we agreed on the price that is out of the door and when we were at their financing office, they increased the price of the vehicle. I put down the down payment of 4K and they did not deduct on the price that we agreed on. They added on the price that we financed. WHAT A SCAM!! They gave us the flash drive where the documents that you signed. We decided to return the car but they ignore us, they don't want to talk to us. More
We’ve been looking for about 2 months and have been to almost a dozen dealers but just couldn’t find what we were looking for. They all wanted to push us into the car they wanted and we dealt with some ve almost a dozen dealers but just couldn’t find what we were looking for. They all wanted to push us into the car they wanted and we dealt with some very rude salespeople, putting down their competitors by name and they had very bad business ethics. Then finally we happened to stumble across a nice car online that led us to New Port Richey Volkswagon and were greeted by Joshua. He was very personable and honest. He was like, I hear what you’re looking for but I’m not too sure we can get you where you want, but let’s try. Well we went looking for a used car and left with a brand new 2024 Jetta! Joshua is honestly very easy to work with and extremely respectful for a car salesman. If you’re looking for an honest salesman who’s not going to pressure you or lie then Joshua is your guy, enjoy your Jetta! Oh and David in finance was awesome as well, very awesome duo when spending thousands of dollars!! Thank you Joshua and David, we will see you in two years! More
My wife has been customer of VW of New Port Richey since we moved to FL in 2017. She has always been satisfied with the work. Recently, she went it for a n oil change and they said a number of things need we moved to FL in 2017. She has always been satisfied with the work. Recently, she went it for a n oil change and they said a number of things needed work. I was skeptical so I brought the car to friend who has worked on the cars for us previously. He supported everything they said needed work. I did save some money having him do the work however. I have wanted an EV for a while. Wasn’t too sure about the ID.4 but we got a fantastic deal on a 2023 lease and we love it! I strongly recommend VW of New Port Richey. If I had to name everyone we have had positive interactions with there, this review would be even more lengthy. Suffice it to say, EVERYONE was wonderful and treated us very well. More
The absolute worst dealership! Purchased one of their used vehicles ( which was never properly inspected ). Spoke to management about the engine issue, they asked me to come in to Purchased one of their used vehicles ( which was never properly inspected ). Spoke to management about the engine issue, they asked me to come in to further diagnose the vehicle and after multiple follow ups and a week later, I am still left with being unable to drive my truck. Save yourself the dealer fees and buy from a used car lot, you'll get the same experience. 0 accountability. Buyer beware. More
The service department at this dealership takes the term sleazy used car salesman to a whole new level. Kev the service manager, is without a doubt, hands down, one of the sleaziest, common that I have eve sleazy used car salesman to a whole new level. Kev the service manager, is without a doubt, hands down, one of the sleaziest, common that I have ever had to displeasure to meet. His most recent transgression, among many, was the debacle he made out of the key to my car. I lost my key and had to have my car towed home. I called Volkswagen to order a new key, amd The man who answered the phone in the parts department called me a price somewhere between 75 and $80 for the new key, and told me it would be $90 to have it coded, he said it would take about a week for the key to come in, and that I would have to bring the car in which would mean have it towed, to have that key programmed and that it should take about an hour. On the day the key arrived I called Volkswagen service department to make arrangements to bring my car in to have the key coded I had to wait two days for an appointment. On the day of the appointment I had my car towed to Volkswagen where I retrieved the key and I waited the service guys to code it. First the gentleman who ordered the key for me and the parts department told me to wait one moment because he was concerned about the key I had ordered as it did not have the remote control features. I told him I wasn't concerned about that I didn't care if it didn't have those just so long as the key would work and start the car. I then went over to Kev the service manager to get the key coded and cab quotes me a price that is $30 higher than what the part salesman told me it would cost to have it coded. When I told him that the parts guy told me it was a $30 less than that he just blew me off as Kevin always blows me off when he's constantly changing prices raising prices sometimes doubling and quadrupling the price of a part even though I already know what the price is, and at that point I was in for a penny and for a pound I needed my key I needed my car so here I am waiting when he tells me I might as well go home and he'll call me because he's not going to get anybody to get to it until 2:00 or 3:00 that afternoon. It was about 10:00 or 11:00 when I brought the car in. I said this was only supposed to take 20 minutes. He told me he couldn't have anybody to look at it until she or three. I waited a while, and after about an hour kept told me the tech was starting to work on it then. After about another hour I was tired I don't want to sit there anymore I told I was going to go home and to call me I figured it wouldn't be that much longer I'd go home and catch a quick 20 minute cat nap if possible. I go home and late that afternoon probably around 5:00 p.m. Kev calls me to tell me that I need a whole new ignition of the cost of $1,100 just for the part. Now I had done my research on the issue with the key and the coding and everything else during the month I sat trying to figure out what to do about this car and looking for the key that had been lost. I knew that there was a bypass code that could be used to get the key to start the car until it could be programmed. I also knew that the ignition immobilizer could be disabled. I knew that the bypass code was supposed to be in the glove compartment. But it wasn't. I also knew that the problem with their coding was with the ignition immobilizer antenna. It is a small round Part with a plastic covering that covers hundreds maybe thousands of tiny copper wires spun around the circle that sits right outside the ignition keyhole. It's just an antenna All it does is relay information from the ignition to the ECU where the ignition immobilizer programming is. I could have bought the antenna itself for about 150 bucks, But of course I'm not going to tell Kevin that because Kevin will lie right to my face Tell me that I need some $3,000 job done to my car and refuse to do what I tell him to do to my car as he did when I told him then just disable the ignition immobilizer and he told me no. Scam, I’ve been trying to buy a vehicle from them for weeks and they’ve jumped the price 10k, then 7k, now again at 9k. They just throw a number out and hope for the best. Will not return calls. They jus weeks and they’ve jumped the price 10k, then 7k, now again at 9k. They just throw a number out and hope for the best. Will not return calls. They just puts you off to the next person and give you a different price. They have terrible customer service. I will be following up with a G.M and then with the Director of operations and then with the CEO of this dealership. This is by far the worst car shopping experience I’ve ever had. BUYER BEWARE!!! TO START OUT WITH, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DEALER QUALITY SERVICE WORK, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. On Jan 21, 2023, I brought my 2015 Passat SEL TDI (87909miles) in for a campaign on the emissions system an SERVICE WORK, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. On Jan 21, 2023, I brought my 2015 Passat SEL TDI (87909miles) in for a campaign on the emissions system and for them to diagnose a coolant leak. Their tech could not find a leak and will diagnose more when parts arrive for campaign. I returned the car on Feb 14 for them to perform the campaign work. On April 3rd I received a call stating my car is complete and ready for pick up. I raised the hood and found numerous issues; two electrical connectors broke and silicone back together, clip missing for DEF lines, hold down bolts missing for DEF lines, all wires/ electrical harness dangling on fire wall with firewall clips missing, heat shield cover for differential pressure sensor zip tied and snaps broke, and the new NOX sensor electrical harness was not secured. I would not accept the car and received the loaner vehicle again. I went back to the dealer 2 additional times to pick up the car and found things missing. So again, I would not take the vehicle. I spoke to service manager and he was not very helpful as he stated; he’s not sure the repair process of a broken connector (which I said the repair that was done cannot be VW certified repair) Kevin went above and beyond and out of his way to send me pictures with the hood opened to see if I saw anything wrong so I did not have to waste a trip driving to the dealer. On April 18th, I brought the car home, jacked it up to inspect the underside. I could smell an exhaust leak. Inspected the new emissions components they installed and found the exhaust clamp was not installed correctly and leaking and there was a bolt holding the EGR cooler to the block missing. (Since it’s a diesel that regenerates it creates a lot of exhaust heat and that was just going out under the car and was a possible fire hazard) I returned the car immediately to them. I told the dealer I am picking up our u haul on April 27th and moving to north Florida on the 28th and our car needs to be done by then and they would look at the coolant issue again (. I spoke to Aaron the sales manager, who is another person to help solve these issues. I spoke to him about all the times I came up, showed him numerous pictures. On April 28th, 1 hour away from driving the U-Haul to North Florida, Aaron went to the shop and facetimed me while the car was on the lift. They fixed the exhaust leak, and I pointed out the bolt and Aaron said they will replace the bolt before you get here. I overlooked the car with Aaron, and he told me to give him the bill for U-Haul for all the issues I had, and they would cover it. I drove the car to North Florida to our home and out to Jacksonville twice for work. I had to add coolant on both trips the car has been sitting for roughly a month due to coolant leak (91321miles). If you have your vehicle in for service work, please be careful and overlook your car. I WILL NEVER BRING MY VEHICLE THERE again for warranty or regular cash work and I would not recommend this shop for repairs. On a positive note, Kevin and Aaron are two awesome folks that really put customers first and want to have customer satisfaction. Kevin especially helped me throughout the whole deal and went out of his was to get my car washed and sending me countless pictures to save me trips going to the dealer. I would recommend Kevin and Aaron over and over but as for their service department, I would recommend elsewhere. More

The value of a company is gauged when it changes lemons into lemonade. I had a 2 pm appointment for a battery change and it took much longer. The service writer, Justine, was on top it from start to fini into lemonade. I had a 2 pm appointment for a battery change and it took much longer. The service writer, Justine, was on top it from start to finish and the service manager got involved when it became obvious I was getting antsy. They gave me a steep discount accompanied with profuse apologies. They earned my business. Well done. More
