Unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate (unless you are giving them money). I used "cars.com" to search for a Mazda CX-5. I hit the "Check Availability" button and entered my information. Not 15 seconds giving them money). I used "cars.com" to search for a Mazda CX-5. I hit the "Check Availability" button and entered my information. Not 15 seconds later I receive three text messages, a phone call and an e-mail from several people (Chris, Mara to name two) inviting me to see the car. I indicated that I was driving from TWO HOURS away to see the car and made an appointment with Chris with every intention of buying the car. My wife dropped me off at the dealership to go do things with the kids while I purchased the car and I walked in the dealership, 10 minutes early for my appointment. Place was busy, but no one was there to greet me at the door. I decided to go outside and see the car, and when I returned through the side entrance I was greeted and asked if I needed help. When I said I was there for my appointment to see the CX-5, her face turned sour and she went back to the room where the managers were. I overheard one of them tell her the car was sold. I immediately got angry, but calmly reminded them I had just driven two hours to buy the car. I poked into the office area and the one manager (do not have name but young guy with a beard) simply said "it sold 15 minutes ago" and looked at me like something was wrong with me for showing up for an appointment. I fully understand the first money and signature buys the car. That is not the point. Car deals do not take 15 minutes. They knew 1-2 hours earlier that someone was test driving the car and starting to talk numbers. They could have simply texted me, maybe ask for deposit if I really wanted the car, I would have been completely understanding and happy. The day before they texted me in 15 seconds and jumped all over me by phone call, text and e-mail when I showed interest in the car. Also, no apology was given by anyone who promised me the appointment. The manager sat there and did nothing to apologize or offer me other cars I might be interested in. The attitude was that I was bothering them by showing up for an appointment they scheduled. Of course they will post some apology here, but too little too late. Here is how you handle the situation: You made a mistake and have an unhappy customer in your show room? APOLOGIZE. OFFER. Screw ups happen. I'm fine with that. I am not fine with people who are INCONSIDERATE of others time. Wasn't just the manager, there were 3-4 people involved in my appointment who should have contacted me or at least APOLOGIZED. Don't do business with these people. They only care about your money. More
I'm extremely satisfied with the entire car buying process, from my first online contact to delivery day. Austin was a great salesperson to work with - an all around nice guy and a true VW enthusiast process, from my first online contact to delivery day. Austin was a great salesperson to work with - an all around nice guy and a true VW enthusiast. I was coming in from out of town and leaving straight to a 1,500 mile road trip in my new Taos SEL, so I appreciated the efficient buying process. Finance and paperwork with Misty was a simple one as well. I've purchased quite a few cars over the years and this was one of my top experiences. Thank you again and I'm loving the new Taos! More
Bought a used car here. Price came to over $29k once I bought the warranty they suggested. Owned the car 2.5 months and all the lights started coming on and the car started Price came to over $29k once I bought the warranty they suggested. Owned the car 2.5 months and all the lights started coming on and the car started smoking pulled over to the side of the road and had it towed. No prior warning at all. The car was at a normal heat level until the lights came on. Car was towed to Volskwagen. They could not diagnose the issue, so they said it would be towed to Chrystler, but it would be free under my warranty. Got a call the next morning from my warranty saying it would cost me $150.... definitely no free. Had AAA do the job instead. Basically, with no prior warning, the engine died cause there was no coolant fluid in the car. AFTER 2.5 MONTHS! I don't know about you, but I would guess this would be something they checked before I drove off the lot. There is no way after 2.5 months that there should be zero cooling fluid in the car. Now, I am stuck with a $12k engine repair and the warranty covers nothing. Should have just bought a new car. When I called to talk to them about it, they said there was nothing they could do. They either sold me a piece of junk or were negligent in checking the fluid before I drove off the lot. The manager who I spoke with said he would look at used engines and then asked if we were OK. LOL! What a joke. I ensure him WE WERE NOT OK. Now, I did purchase the oil changes from them. You can be sure, Volkswagen of Moon, that every time I am in there getting an oil change, I will be sure to ask you to top off the coolant. I will shout it at you in front of all your customers in your lounge and ask you do do it since you clearly neglected to do so when I bought the car which caused me to need a full engine replacement 2.5 months later. I will be your worst nightmare as long as I have this car and will make you wish you never knew me. If I so much as see an eye roll from your staff I will come on here and write another review. More
I had a great buying experience! My sales rep Cameron was great throughout the process. And the sales manager, Chris, worked with me to make sure I could get the vehicle I wanted. Dropped my car off at 9 am, the service advisor James offered me extra maintenance at the price of $321. I declined. Never heard back from him. I call back around 2 pm to check on my car and they tell me it hasn’t been seen yet. At 4 pm, I am called and informed they never got to my car. WHY? I have now tried to contact the manager and my sales consultant and can’t get anyone to call me back. Be ware!! It this how you treat people who buy off of you? More
I had a pretty good experience with this dealership overall. After test driving a lot of the 5 and 8 passenger SUV's and watching @the_car_mom reviews on YouTube, I decided to go with the VW Atlas. The overall. After test driving a lot of the 5 and 8 passenger SUV's and watching @the_car_mom reviews on YouTube, I decided to go with the VW Atlas. The inventory at each VW dealership around Pittsburgh was fairly low, but the Moon dealership had the one that I wanted and I chose to work with Sebastian after reading several positive reviews online. Sebastian Wolstencroft was very thorough and patient with me as he answered all of my questions about the car, the buying process, and pricing. When it came to working with the finance department, I worked with Misty York. I was underwhelmed and a bit frustrated with my experience with her, to say the least. She sent me a flyer for the extended warranty, which had very little information on it, her email communication was in the format of run-on sentences and she frequently skipped over questions that I had, and I had to ask the GM for clarity on the extended warranty product that they were selling. The General Sales Manager, Neil Schuetz, helped me to answer the questions regarding the extended warranty and said hello to me after I purchased my car. Overall, my experience was good, but it could have been better if the finance department was clearer with me on the details and pricing of the extended warranty product that they were selling. More
Website not totally accurate. It says they will bring a car to you to test drive. Upon calling regarding a test drive, they will bring it to you if you only live a mile or two from their location, which is car to you to test drive. Upon calling regarding a test drive, they will bring it to you if you only live a mile or two from their location, which is not stated on their website. I did purchase a used vehicle from them. Before leaving I notice a chip in the windshield. They told me it was repaired and passes inspection. What I did not notice is the multitude of tiny chips all over the windshield. I stopped by with the vehicle 9 days later to point these out and the sales manager (I did not ask his name). He as much accused me that this damaged happened since I had the vehicle since I did not call within a day or 2. The vehicle also had these small chips on the hood and grill which I had noticed upon purchase and agreed to the condition. The windshield however was only noticeable when driving in direct sunrise or sunset. The 5 or six days after purchase were normal Pittsburgh days, cloudy and rainy and the chips were not as noticeable. The second issue was there was dog hair throughout the vehicle which I pointed out. The service department did vacuum it before I left, however it me 2 days of detailing the interior to remove it all. I find this sad because the CARFAX report states they detailed the vehicle twice before I purchased it. Third issue was there were Day Apollo Certified Pre-Owned and Buyers Guide window stickers affixed to the vehicle. When I mentioned this to the Sales manager he stated we only Certify Pre-Owned Volkswagens, then why are they selling non Volkswagens with Certified Pre-Owned stickers attached. Bottom line, After the Sales Manager, insinuated, the windshield chips happened after I purchased the vehicle, the Certified Pre-Owned stickers were not valid, and stating in the Carfax report the vehicle was DETAILED twice before the sales and there was still very noticeable dog hair throughout the vehicle, I could not recommend this dealer.
