Car being serviced I went in this past weekend and did not get good service. When I arrived I had to get the staffs attention and than the service manager stepped away P I went in this past weekend and did not get good service. When I arrived I had to get the staffs attention and than the service manager stepped away Phil and said someone will be right with you than Sally came back from lunch and was talking to her co-worker and again I was outside the service area door and was told by Phil someone will come and get me Sally an employee in the service department was chatting with her co-worker I had to interrupt them and get her attention to remind her I had an appoitment. She then took down some basic information about my vehicle and then print it off for me to have a signature on it but placed the wrong mileage on the form and had to update it and put the correct mileage on 😩. I was shocked basic information to write down mileage. Once the service was compete the next day I noticed my blinker light popping up on my dashboard however the dealership had already corrected this but did not remove it from my dashboard. So I would physically have to go back in to the dealership to get this removed off my dashboard because I can't do it myself a technician has to do this. I paid 130 dollars for bad service and now I have to go back to get it fixed when I already had spent two hours there this past weekend. Then I was informed that they do a courtesy wash and clean but Sally mention that it takes longer and wasn't advocating for this service at all. You should not market something unless you strongly feel it's a service that you feel you want to provide to our customers. Also when you see your customers waiting to be served you should not be talking to your coworkers you should be giving them your undivided attention and taking care of them. I also called and the general manger never called me back to inform him of what happened. I did get a call back from Phil but he had every excuse in the book for his staff he was not genuine or empathetic about my situation at all. I personally feel not a people person or on the right lot of work. Don't waste your time energy or resources going to this dealership. More

Crap Crap Crap Originally, I reviewed this dealership a 5/5 because of how I was treated when I bought the car. Yesterday, I went in to get my license plates, as we Originally, I reviewed this dealership a 5/5 because of how I was treated when I bought the car. Yesterday, I went in to get my license plates, as we were putting them on my car, Chris walks out and asks how I'm liking my car. I said "good, except it needs new tires", he then goes on to tell me that he thought it had brand new tires on it or it was supposed to be getting them. He told us to go talk to service. We went and talked to service, whom was very helpful, we explained how Chris told us apparently my car was supposed to get new tires. I believe it was the service manager, who went out and checked the tires. He came back in and told us that those definitely weren't new tires on my car. He asked me who my salesmen was and I told him. Unfortunately, the sales manager who I dealt with when I bought the car wasn't there. The service manager said he was going to talk to Chris but instead he came back over with another sales manager named Brian. We told him what was going on and instead of telling me that they don't replace tires on used cars, he started giving me attitude and being really rude. He explained that the tires were 3-4/32 and that the car passes CPO inspection as long as they are at 4/32. The car was certified at the very lowest it possibly could be for the tires to pass. His attitude became worse and worse after that. Basically, he was talking to me like I didn't know what I was talking about because I am a female. I then proceeded to ask him about my speedometer which is off by a couple miles per hour and the needle does not seem to hold position, and he started giving me attitude saying "How do you know? Well how do you know?" Like hello, I drive the car every day. I also asked him if he could explain what my CPO warranty covers because it was never explained to me. His response was that it should have been explained to me twice when I was buying the car. I told him that even if it was I was signing so many papers and I do not understand it so is there anyone who could explain it to me. He then responded with "it is the same as the manufacturer's warranty" like I am supposed to already know exactly what that covers. I then asked him one more question about how something had come unclipped and was hanging from the backseat headrest, when he and my boyfriend went outside, he told my boyfriend that it was supposed to be like that so you could get inside of the headrest. Funny thing is, my boyfriend fixed it by pushing the clips back inside the headrest right when he was standing there. When we were getting ready to leave we asked him for his card and who the general manager was he said "The general manager is Lin, that's who I was speaking to this whole time." We then left but decided to go back in to try to get the information of the general manager and he told us that the general manager did not have a card and when we asked to speak with the general manager he told us that we were not allowed to. I'm not mad about the tires or anything. I'm upset at the way I was treated last night. I am upset because I was talked down too because I am a female. I will never be back to this dealership, EVER. I will take my business somewhere else, where they are going to treat me like an actual customer of theirs. This is disgusting for a dealership being part of such a well-known automotive group. UPDATE as of 7/31/17: After writing my last review, I was contacted by someone from the O'Brien Auto Group who notified me they had talked to the general manager. The GM Lin got into contact with me and he was very nice and told me that he was sorry for how I was treated and would do everything he can to fix what had happened. He agreed to rotate my tires free of charge and test the speedometer also for free (waiving the $50 deductible under the warranty). He also told me to call ahead of time and he would make sure he had a courtesy car ready for me while my car was being looked at. On Monday 7/24, I called Lin and let him know I would be coming that evening to drop off my car. When I got to the dealership, I told the service manager what we had agreed to do and he knew about it. But he proceeded to tell me that he's never seen one of their cars have a speedometer issue. It took about 30 minutes to complete the paperwork and most of it was to write up the loaner vehicle. After the service manager informed me that I cannot drive the loaner vehicle because I am only 18, he then loaned the vehicle to my boyfriend but that did not do any good because I still couldn't drive the car because my name was not on it. We then spoke to Lin about the situation and just told him we would drop if off on Thursday because we were going out of town and wouldn't need the car over the weekend. I hadn't received any updates on Friday (when they told me the car would be done), so I called on Saturday to find out what they found. When i called I was placed on hold for a couple minutes to then be told that the lady dealing with my car was busy and would call me back. When she finally called me back she was surprised I had not gotten a call with an update yet. She said that they rotated the tires and found nothing wrong with the speedometer. Monday 7/31, I went to pick up the car. The service manager told me that they had washed the car when I specifically told them not to. Two days later (Today) as I was driving to work my tire pressure sensor light came on. I was hoping that there was not an actual problem with the tires and that the sensor just needed to be reset (which should've been done when they rotated them). Luckily, I figured out how to reset it myself. Taking the car in to get the tires rotated was a complete waste of my time. VW of Kirkland is 30 minutes out of my way and nothing got accomplished. The only outcome was that I got my tires rotated for free. I would've much rather just taken my car somewhere else where I could trust them. Since buying this vehicle it just seems like I am finding more and more little things that should have been pointed out when I bought it. I am very dissatisfied with this dealer and nothing at this point is going to change my mind. I would not recommend anyone taking their car here for service or buying a car from them More

Kirkland was the only dealer that had the car we wanted and was willing to do everything by phone. Edward was great, he had all paperwork ready to go when we got there. I visited Volkswagen of Kirkland to test drive a used car. They showed me the pre-purchase inspection they performed on the vehicle and everything was listed as "Satisfactory", including a line item call car. They showed me the pre-purchase inspection they performed on the vehicle and everything was listed as "Satisfactory", including a line item called "mirrors" despite one of the sideview mirrors being broken. No big deal with the mirror, but I was concerned they said it was "satisfactory" along with every other inspection point listed - no idea what else might have been broken yet listed as "satisfactory". Anyway, the test drive went fine, so I told them I'd be willing to negotiate a price after an independent mechanical inspection. Unfortunately...they told me they do not allow customers to perform independent mechanical inspections on their vehicles. I've been shopping around for a few weeks now and every dealership I've visited so far has had no problem with this. They say "sure", hand you the keys, and ask when you'll have it back on their lot to talk about the price. Every used car buying guide recommends performing an independent mechanical inspection, and every used car buying guide also says to steer clear of anyone who isn't willing to let you perform one. I will be steering clear of Volkswagen of Kirkland. Overall experience wasn't necessarily "Bad" but it certainly wasn't "Good" either. I just wasted about an hour driving each way to see the car and didn't think to ask about a policy regarding mechanical inspections because I've never worked with or heard of a dealership who has such a policy. I would rate any dealership with such a policy the same in terms of the used vehicle purchase experience. UPDATE: After posting this review, the general sales manager called to inform me that they do allow mechanical inspections and that the manager on duty at the time was mistaken. Unfortunately, this does not make my overall experience with Volkswagen of Kirkland better to the extent that I can change this from 2 to 3 stars. More
