If I could give VW of Alamo Heights zero stars, I would. I bought my brand new 2024 Taos from here in May. While traveling to Corpus Christi in July it broke down, and the entire experience has been a nightmare from start to (still waiting for) finish. My car, with less than 3,000 miles on it, was towed to the VW of Corpus Christi. It’s now been 6 weeks, and I still have no idea when it will be repaired. Jose, the service advisor, has been unable to give me an ETA. To make matters worse, they won't provide a rental car, claiming they don't have any available. So, good luck if you ever need one from this dealership. The level of customer service I've experienced has been shocking. I initially gave them a great review because the experience of selling me the car was great. If you need help after that point, they are zero help. On Monday July 29th 5 days after being towed, I met with Adnaan "Andy" Rowshan and Cameron Harris, the salespeople I dealt with at Alamo Heights, they told me to call VW directly because the car isn’t at their dealership. They refused to provide a loaner car, stating that my car was towed to the closest dealership where it broke down. Chris Cameron, their manager, was too busy to help me, and even after leaving my number for Lee Tinoco, the GM, weeks ago I didn’t hear back. This is completely unacceptable for a brand-new car, and I expected much better service. The lack of communication, the refusal to offer a rental car, and the general disregard for their customers is appalling. I deeply regret purchasing from VW of Alamo Heights, and I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere. More
Very thorough and they keep great service records. They have snacks and coffee if you choose to wait or provide free shuttle service. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Carlos did a terrific job in servicing my 2018 VW Tiguan with an oil change plus replacing my two air filters. He technicians were very prompt with the extra workload. It took 2 hours; however, I was pleased to get my Tiguan service as soon as possible. I commend Carlos and the technicians for a job well done. More
Service advisor David Deleon I'm highly disappointed in the service provided today on a few counts. First, I specifically asked about checking the brakes. You informed me there was no recall or known in the service provided today on a few counts. First, I specifically asked about checking the brakes. You informed me there was no recall or known service issues, but the 2023 Taos is clearly part of the defective AEB issue. This was neither checked nor was it mentioned. Furthermore, you casually mentioned about the rear brake issue as I was leaving, despite me specifically asking about them up front. You did not make it clear that this was a critical issue. I felt very much lied to about the condition of the brakes and how critical it is to get them replaced. Third, you said they are not under warranty, but the link below shows that this warranty was extended to 2 years, 24,000 miles. So the rear brakes are covered. I attached this to the original service request, and you should know about the extension anyway. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10228700-0001.pdf More
The service department kept my Atlas for a week and then diagnosed the problem without testing anything. They blamed the issue on road gravel claiming a possible warranty issue was a $1100 out of pocket exp diagnosed the problem without testing anything. They blamed the issue on road gravel claiming a possible warranty issue was a $1100 out of pocket expense. This is my second issue with this dealer and I won’t be back for my service on our VWs or to purchase another. I will keep using DAS Auto in San Antonio when I need repairs I aren’t able to do. More
