My daughter put down a $500 deposit in order to purchase a vehicle. They told her that they would hold the car for 2 business days. She called them this afternoon and was told that the car had been sold. So a vehicle. They told her that they would hold the car for 2 business days. We just bought with Wayne and he’s the sales person I wanted. He didn’t try to push anything and he guided me through the sale the way I needed it. He can clearly read his customers needs. The dealers wanted. He didn’t try to push anything and he guided me through the sale the way I needed it. He can clearly read his customers needs. The dealership gave us a higher offer on our trade in than any other place we went and gave us more than I was asking for. I was completely honest about the issues and for them to go just above what I was hoping to get was a gesture that solidified that I was working with a team with integrity that wanted to earn my business. Cheers to the team. More

On Oct 4, my son lost his keys to his 2011 VW GTI. Called a locksmith and he rekeyed the car. Car started, drove a few feet and stalled. Locksmith tinkered with it but could not figure it out. The Called a locksmith and he rekeyed the car. Car started, drove a few feet and stalled. Locksmith tinkered with it but could not figure it out. The next day I called VW of Alamo Heights and asked if they could help diagnose and repair. Car ran perfectly before rekeying and had just undergone a serious overhaul. Advisor said this was a security issue due to using an after market key. Made perfect sense. They would order and program a new key. Tow truck driver confirmed car was dropped off and provided a name. Called that afternoon and they said my car did not arrive. I insisted it did and they said they would call me back. A few hours later they called and said they found it but the advisor had neglected to check the car in. They made me come in to order the key. Paid $400 for key and programming. A few days later, key arrived and they programmed. They called me to let me know the head mechanic said the instrument cluster needed to be replaced as the car went black. They said this was serious and the panel was not easy to find and may have been out of production due to year and model. Estimate of an additional approx $3k to start IF the panel could be found. They said they would call to let me know when it was located but advisor said this car was likely a total loss because the fix would likely exceed the value of the car. A few days later (2 weeks in) they reached out and asking if I was ready to pick up. I explained I had never heard back on whether or not the part was found. I had even texted the advisor and asked if I could find the panel myself, if they would install. Never heard back. So at this point, we decided to pick up the car and sell to a scrap yard for $500. We purchased a new car from a different dealer, and towed the VW home. The scrap dealer could not pick up for a week. My 18 year old, non-mechanic son needed to move the car and decided to research the issue. He opened the cluster panel that had not been re-secured and realized a wire was not connected. He connected the wire and the panel LIT UP. He grabbed the newly programmed key and the car started but immediately shut down. He grabbed the key the locksmith had made and the car started and he drove it around the block. The car runs like a dream and we almost scrapped it for $500! Their highly trained mechanics supposedly spent hours trying to diagnose the issue and my ZERO training, new high school graduate fixed an OBVIOUS issue in 5 minutes. I was forced to believe this was not repairable and had no choice but to buy another car based ON THEIR EXPERT recommendation. I called and spoke with the GM and he acted so unaffected by this situation and said he would review and call me back. At the end of the day I emailed him and asked if he forgot about me and a while later a service advisor called me and said a refund for the key would be offered. NO APOLOGY WAS EVER OFFERED by ANYONE! The GM had ZERO intention to call me back and passed me off to the same people who had already screwed me over. I insisted he call me back. He called and said he told his service team to call me that morning and assumed they did. Another failure. He had nothing to offer, got a little bit defensive and said he would think about how he could make this up to me and call me back. To this day I have never heard back from him. At this point, I now have a VW that runs perfectly AND another car I do NOT need but am STUCK paying for. They should have offered to buy the car back so I am not stuck paying for their COSTLY mistake. I also have to insure 2 vehicles now instead of one. This place is a joke and I urge you all to beware!
