I came in with my 2020 Sonata that had an EPS and ESC code. Parking break motor was functioning but caliper was evidently stuck. Techs wanted to replace motor caliper assembly, also suggested cleaning fuel injectors which is part of maintenance that's fine. They also claimed the front brakes were almost completely shot. They wanted $1000 for a front brake job. I decided to have that looked at by my local mechanic of 30 years. Pete tried to expedite the part for next day. It took me several calls including 3 that hung up on me to determine that the part had not arrived as promised. Next day I spoke to Pete and later that morning the car was done. When I picked up the car service Mgr Dave was affable and acknowledged that the $975 brake caliper part was very expensive. Total cost was $1400. When I brought the car to my local mechanic he observed that the brakes are fine. Plenty of life left. In other words the tech blatantly lied. Ruthlessly lied. Now I have lost trust in Vision Hyundai service. Maybe the caliper was just stuck and they could have cleared it without replacing the entire assembly. I will avoid Vision Hyundai Service based on the dissengenuos response from the Tech ans the customer service staff who delivered this false information. We purchased two Hyundais from you and will avoid any service except ones that are necessary by a Hyundai tech and if that happens I will need to speak to the tech and have him show me the actual damage/problem because he tried to scam me. Took car in for 5000 mile service and rear brakes after only 24k miles. They also said I needed a $220 alignment as they said corners of tires were wearing on my almost new tires. I took my truck three times for it to not be fixed. I have called and they say it's in review . But, no one has yet to call me and this is ridiculous. After being cheated out of thousands of dollars by Vision Hyundai of Webster, I was given a 5-year contract for free oil changes as a (VERY SMALL) token apology. . .which the general manager, Rob Cammilleri, Hyundai of Webster, I was given a 5-year contract for free oil changes as a (VERY SMALL) token apology. . .which the general manager, Rob Cammilleri, pronptly refused to honor. So, it was with great trepidation that I visited Vision Nissan, hoping that they would honor it. And they did! Comparing the two Vision dealerships is like comparing night with day. Nick, Santos, and a very pleasant young lady assistant made sure my visit to the Nissan store was pleasant and that the oil change was accomplished in good time. When it was determined that my car needed some serious repair work, that, too, was done efficiently, expertly, and immediately. I was so pleased -- and not a little amazed at how the two dealerships were polar opposites even though they operate under the same corporate umbrella. Today I went to Vision Nissan again, this time with a problem with my electronic key fob. This was nothing but a nuisance -- but I was treated as though it was of great importance. Santos advised the mechanic, Alvin, to repair the key while I waited, even though I had no appointment -- and it was done free of charge! I can't say enough great things about Vision Nissan of Webster. My only regret is that I didn't know about their fantastic staff and their on-site stock of dependable new and used cars until AFTER I had been mistreated and financially exploited at the Hyundai dealership next door. Thank you, Nick, Alvin, that nice young lady whose name I didn't get, and Santos! You are the reasons I will not hesitate to recommend Vision Nissan of Webster to friends, family, and everyone reading this review. More
