I contacted Veteran's about a Toyota MR2 they had advertised. He sent me videos of the car as I am in the mid-west. Upon receiving the video I contacted him and said I had contacted a mechanic and wo advertised. He sent me videos of the car as I am in the mid-west. Upon receiving the video I contacted him and said I had contacted a mechanic and would have them come out and do a inspection. I asked if there was any need to send him a deposit to hold the vehicle to which he said no that wouldn't be necessary. I had the full understanding that the car would be available for the inspection and if the mechanic said it was a go we would then make the transaction. We just found out that the car had sold and I was told that because I didn't have a deposit to hold the car that it was still up for sale. They said one thing and did another. I guess when dealing with car dealers you really can't trust what they say as I stated that unless the mechanic found something wrong with the car that the sale was a go. I now hope I can cancel the mechanic who is charging 149.00 and I have told others that I would not be interested in the MR2's they had for sale as I thought I had found the perfect car at Veterans. I guess I was wrong and the old saying goes Money talks and your word doesn't matter. I am just very disappointed as I thought after dealing with several dealerships I had found one that was on the Up and Up I was so close to booking flights for my wife and I to Tampa. More
After an unpleasant experience at Bill Currie Ford, I went over to Veterans Ford. The staff was extremely professional and the dealership has a great feel about it. Nelson Lugo was the salesman. He took the time to go over everything in my vehicle and also compared a few items I was not familiar with. I would go to Veterans Ford again, and will definiately be referring them to my colleagues. I went in last week to get my alternator replaced on my 99 cougar. Overall the expierence was very good. The sales staff is really chatty and the service clerk is constantly checking on the status of vehic 99 cougar. Overall the expierence was very good. The sales staff is really chatty and the service clerk is constantly checking on the status of vehicle. I would certainly take my vehicle again if need be. This is one of the better dealership service departments in the area. They were generally concerned with the problem the vehicle was having. When I got the car back, it was like having a new car the way the technician handled and fixed the problem. Aswell, i noticed he did a few extra things to it which I appreciate. I got the vehicle back cleaner than i gave it. That said, The only thing keeping me from rating a full 5 stars is the cost. The cost to do this work was extremely steep and I felt it was a bit high. They need to work on that. I understand the uniqueness of the vehicle, but 100$ diagnosis fee is a little silly. Best of luck. More
Horrible experience looking at a USED car: I think we all understand that dealing with used car salesmen isn't a pleasant experience - so the bar isn't very high. These guys still deserve 1-star. It was not understand that dealing with used car salesmen isn't a pleasant experience - so the bar isn't very high. These guys still deserve 1-star. It was not a "creampuff" as advertised - it was actually in really rough shape (cosmetically). FALSE ADVERTISING TO GET ME IN THE DOOR. After about 1.5 hours (test drive, sitting at the table, etc..) the manager (Lorenzo) told me that because he was going to have to put so much money into improving the car cosmetically, that the price was actually going to be $1000 MORE than it was listed for. They actually RAISED the price while i was sitting at the table thinking they could take advantage of me (I mistakenly told them I had been looking for this car model/make/year for a while). When I expressed my disbelief and started to walk out, Lorenzo was "kind" enough to "do me a favor" and honor the listed price, but not all of the repairs would be completed. So essentially - after an hour and a half I was back to the same price as when i walked in, though the car war far from a "creampuff" as advertised, and on top of it all, I'm supposed to feel like Lorenzo is doing ME a favor... **- While I was in the dealership, Lorenzo increased the listed internet price to $14999. Once I told them I wouldn't be buying from them a few days later, they decreased it back to it's original $13999. (I interpret this as them trying to take advatage of me). More
Very friendly. Listened to all my needs and was very helpful in getting me the used car that I wanted and could afford. Nelson followed up several days later with a better payment plan and always had I helpful in getting me the used car that I wanted and could afford. I have been to many dealers and they met every need and gave me just what I asked for before the purchase. Very pleased here. Enjoy my car and thanks for your help and kindness More
After many months of fruitless searching for a replacement Mercedes E350, our wandering path led us to Veteran's Ford of Tampa. In less than a few moments we realized that we had finally found th replacement Mercedes E350, our wandering path led us to Veteran's Ford of Tampa. In less than a few moments we realized that we had finally found the "fit" that we had been looking for. Our salesperson was Mr. Randy Peterson, he was warm and welcoming, and we felt no pressure whatsoever from him. After a test drive he introduced us to his used car manager, Mr. Lorenzo Pena, and once again we were equally impressed with his knowledge of the vehicle, and of his presentation of the deal that he proposed. Both individuals were excellent listeners, and were able to answer all of our concerns. We found the vehicle price to be fair, and accepted the offer with a phone call a short while later. However it didn't stop there. There was some minor damage that we discovered after we took posession of the vehicle. Mr. Pena immediately orchestrated the necessary steps to have the problem corrected, and so it was. He also insured that several missing items that should have been included with the purchase, were located, purchased by the dealership, and presented to us in a timely fashion. To sum this up, I have been buying and trading vehicles for nearly 50 years. Twenty of them all told, and ten were brand new cars or trucks. And at no time in any of these transactions did I ever feel really comfortable with the seller. And I underscore this last. I plan to purchase another truck again from Veteran's Ford shortly, and highly recommend them. Sincerely, Tom Sears and Carmen Reiff More

I came to look at a truck I saw used on line, but it wasn't going to work for me. I told him I really wanted a extended cab. He said, "that he had one right here". I was really excited to see such a wasn't going to work for me. I told him I really wanted a extended cab. He said, "that he had one right here". I was really excited to see such a beautiful truck. It looked new inside, it had the engine I needed, and the price was perfect for my budget. Josh was very helpful explaining The Autocheck vehicle history report, and the through work there mechanics go through on each vehicle. This is very comforting to a me, since I don't know machanics. I never, ever felt one second of pressure to buy. He explained my trade-in value, and went as far as to offer to tow it, due to the bad clutch. Pay for by them. I was blown away. When it was time to do all the financal paperwork, the man (forgot his name) made it not only easy, but quite a fun time. WHO can say that! They have made everything so easy and simple. I went to the high pressured sale guy last week, he would not answer any questions with an answer. Tried to sell me something I can't afford, and that truck smell like smoke and made me sick. Veterans Ford and Josh turn a bad experience last week to a very enjoyable one this week. I will tell everyone looking for new and used vehicals to just go see what inventory they may have. You may find the perfect one like me. Thanks Josh... More
