Vanguard Volkswagen of North Austin Vanguard Auto Group, OWNER JOHN CHRISTOPHER LATE AKA CHRISTOPHER LATE OF THE LATE FAMILY CAR I MEAN CON ARTISTS Financing Bank, ATFCU WORST FINANCING INSTITUTION EVER!!! OWNER JOHN CHRISTOPHER LATE AKA CHRISTOPHER LATE OF THE LATE FAMILY CAR I MEAN CON ARTISTS Financing Bank, ATFCU WORST FINANCING INSTITUTION EVER!!!! Prepared for: Sean William McCabe Co-Signer: Jose Manuel Pantaleon Location: Austin, Texas 1. TRANSACTION OVERVIEW Purchase of 2025 VW TAOS, NOT WORTH IT!!! Down payment of $8,500.00 cash Transaction executed via electronic signature platform Trade-in vehicle included in deal One signer (Pantaleon) signed remotely while at work Primary purchaser remained at dealership approximately 7.5 hours Complete contract not provided at time of execution 2. DOCUMENT DELIVERY FAILURES Full contract copies were not provided at signing. Repeated requests for documentation were delayed or ignored. Final document package was not obtained until January 16, 2026. Documents were delivered via thumb drive only after in-person demand. 45-minute delay occurred before release of documents. Vehicle disposition and funding actions appear to have occurred before full contract delivery. 3. SIGNATURE IRREGULARITIES One electronic signature was created by Pantaleon Multiple materially different visual versions of that signature appear across contract pages. Signatures appear on documents not viewed in real time. Signature timestamps do not align consistently with signer availability. Some signatures reflect execution dates inconsistent with claimed transaction dates. Audit trail documentation provided by dealership appears incomplete. Standard electronic signature activity logs (IP, device data, page tracking) were omitted in the version provided. Discrepancies exist between signature presentation and normal e-signature workflow formatting. 4. DOWN PAYMENT DISCREPANCIES $8,500.00 cash provided. Final documents do not consistently reflect full $8,500.00 credit. Allocation of down payment not clearly itemized. No ledger reconciliation provided. No written breakdown showing application of funds to: Vehicle price Add-ons Warranty products Fees 5. TRADE-IN IRREGULARITIES Trade-in documentation not fully disclosed at signing. Dealership later stated additional signature required to finalize trade-in. Clarification of required document not provided. Trade-in vehicle was sold or disposed of while: Signature authenticity was disputed Contract validity concerns were raised No verified proof provided showing legally valid authorization prior to sale. Trade-in valuation documentation lacks full disclosure transparency. 6. FINANCING ISSUES Financing routed through multiple third-party lenders. Multiple lender non-approval or rejection notices received. Financing terms appear to have been restructured or re-submitted. Customer was not provided consolidated financing disclosure packet. Loan funding appears to have proceeded despite unresolved signature disputes. Bank(s) received documentation that customer had not yet reviewed. No written reconciliation explaining discrepancies between dealer submission and lender response. 7. TIMESTAMP AND EXECUTION DATE DISCREPANCIES E-signature timestamp (e-stamp) reflects execution date different from certain contract print dates. Some signature pages reflect dates inconsistent with initial claimed signing date. Funding timeline appears misaligned with document delivery timeline. Documentation suggests potential post-execution document processing. 8. VERSION CONTROL AND RECORD DISCREPANCIES Multiple versions of contract documents exist. No certification confirming documents provided match those executed. Final contract package appears compiled after execution. Some pages reflect formatting inconsistencies across the same contract. Audit documentation incomplete compared to standard e-signature reporting format. 9. COMMUNICATION RECORD Early concerns raised with financing bank, ATFCU DO NOT BANK WITH THEM Bank contacted dealership directly after concerns raised. No investigation just their bottom line, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ More
They advertised a used car for $13,000 and then tried to force me to purchase a $3000 warranty on top of it. This is actually violates consumer protection laws, and when I informed them of this fact, they r force me to purchase a $3000 warranty on top of it. This is actually violates consumer protection laws, and when I informed them of this fact, they refused to sell me the vehicle. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. Shop somewhere else that has more honest business practices. Management should be ashamed, pushing their sales team to scam people. More

I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get it back. Now they refuse to honor the 3 oil changes that were included with my purchase. Just don't go here. More

Once we saw it in person, we quickly realized it wouldn’t suit our needs, so we browsed the lot and found another vehicle that caught our interest. That’s when things went downhill. When we started negotiating, they came back with completely outrageous numbers — I’m talking about monthly payments nearly $300 more than what we ultimately got at another dealership. Their online pricing is incredibly misleading and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. After wasting hours dealing with nonsense and dishonesty, we walked away. Thankfully, we found an amazing deal on a better car in San Marcos. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. More
Customer and management will talk down on you like they have some type of authority. Will not do business here and don’t recommend it. have some type of authority. Will not do business here and don’t recommend it. More
AWFUL. Avoid this place. My recent experience with this Vanguard VW, Austin Texas. Burnet Road. Recall service was thoroughly disappointing - communi Avoid this place. My recent experience with this Vanguard VW, Austin Texas. Burnet Road. Recall service was thoroughly disappointing - communication breakdowns at every step, being shuffled between multiple representatives without accountability, missed deadlines without notification, and questionable repair assessments that contradicted previous service reports. Kept hostage on a tire problem. Throughout the entire process, I was left feeling undervalued and frustrated by the lack of transparency and professionalism. I strongly recommend considering Onion Creek VW instead, as several friends have praised their clear communication, consistent service quality, and respectful customer care - qualities that were noticeably absent during my experience here. NEVER will I buy a car from them again! I bought my car, and the trim was missing. Had to fight to get that replaced. It still has New tags on it and now the battery is dead. And because t I bought my car, and the trim was missing. Had to fight to get that replaced. It still has New tags on it and now the battery is dead. And because the warranty expired 2 weeks ago, they won't replace it. So, there's more money that I have to spend. They have the worst Customer service!! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. This dealership is out to rip off their customers. I took my Volkswagen Arteon in for its 20,000 mile service 3 days and 3700 miles prior to the recommendation on the sticker that was posted on my win I took my Volkswagen Arteon in for its 20,000 mile service 3 days and 3700 miles prior to the recommendation on the sticker that was posted on my windshield from this dealership a year ago. When I checked in the service advisor, Chris Ewer told me that I couldn’t use my complimentary 20,000 mile service because it had expired. He told me that all service plans and warranties are valid from the date the vehicle leaves the factory. I said that sounded like nonsense but he stuck to his guns. He offered to let me use my 30,000 mile service coupon but explained that he’d have to charge me $140 to replace my air and cabin filters. I agreed and paid the fees because he said it was needed to maintain my vehicle optimally. I had booked an appointment online and it took four hours to perform a routine service for my vehicle. Two weeks later, I received a mailer from Volkswagen encouraging me to use my 30,000 mile service coupon which includes the air and cabin filters. I called and left a message for Chris explaining this issue but did not get a return call. The following day I went to the dealership and spoke to Eric Mayer, the GM. I showed him my mailer and googled what is included in the service from Volkswagen. He said it looked misleading but agreed that I could get a refund for the $140 dollars charged to my card. There was nothing misleading about it. I waited around the dealership for 35 minutes, while 3 service advisors and the lady in accounting tried to figure out how to refund my card. No one knew how to process this transaction, they sure did know how to process a charge to my credit card. It took two full days and multiple calls to the service advisors and the GM for them to decide to issue me a refund check because they never could process a refund. They should have just written me a check while I waited for 35 minutes for them to figure something out. This is by far, the worst service/ treatment I’ve received from a dealership in my 32 years of driving cars from various dealerships! More
