Today I like to share my wonderful shopping experience at the Vandergriff Honda Dealership on 1104 W. I-20 in Arlington, Texas. In 2007 I purchased a new 2007 Honda Fit and a new CR-V EX-L with GPS at th the Vandergriff Honda Dealership on 1104 W. I-20 in Arlington, Texas. In 2007 I purchased a new 2007 Honda Fit and a new CR-V EX-L with GPS at the Vandergriff Honda Dealership in Arlington, Texas and one year later we traded both cars in for the latest models. With this Dealership I had the most positive buying experience because of their friendly service, honesty and fair pricing. I have bought five new Hondas within three years from the same Dealership and it will not be my last one. From time to time I'm receiving phone calls from the dealership informing me about their latest models. All Honda cars we have driven were reliable, dependable and fuel efficient. In the near feature gas prices will go up again to $4 a gallon which makes the Honda more affordable due to their high mileage and low emission. This Dealership stands out among others, because of their friendly customer approach without pushing the business button. Maintenance service is professional fast with a courtesy car wash. Vandergriff Honda in Arlington, Texas, gives their customers from time to time a complementary 15% discount on Honda parts. New customers also can enjoy a monthly dinner invitation at the Dealership where Honda owners meet to share their new driving experience. It is like a family affair. At the end of the dinner party, the staff will give away wonderful gifts to lucky ticket number holders and everybody will receive a complementary gift. This is a very classy touch by the management thanking their customers for shopping at Vandergriff Honda Dealership in Arlington, Texas. This is the most professional Honda Dealership I have experienced in my Life. We would highly recommend this professional courtesy Dealership to anyone who wants to buy a Honda vehicle. We always will drive the extra mile to reach the Honda Dealership in Arlington for any service. Start your engine . . . we will see you again soon at the Vandergriff Honda Dealership in Arlington, Texas. Thank you H & R Groth More
Took my elderly father to buy a Honda Accord EXL from Vandergriff. Salesman quoted him an out the door price of $27000.00 with all the BS add-ons. My father went to sign the papers and was told that they Vandergriff. Salesman quoted him an out the door price of $27000.00 with all the BS add-ons. My father went to sign the papers and was told that they had miscalculated the tax and it would cost an additional $1600.00. They said they had typed in an out of stated address in the computer. The sales man had quoted a price of $25,200.00 before TT and L. There was no mistake that they tried to scam my father out of an additional $1600.00 after they had agreed on a price. Do not trust this dealership. All the negative reviews are true. I believe any positive reviews are written by Vandergriff employees. Vandergriff Honda is built on running scams. They will deploy the scam tactics after you have put six to eight hours of your time in hoping you will give in. The rating is zero because they are liars, you cant find any car on the lot that does not have $2000.00 of useless and worthless add-ons, and one scam attempt will be followed by another. They were nice up to the point that they tried to bully my father into their scam. I will never return to Vandergriff Honda for any reason. Do not trust them with your elderly parents. The low price quote will be followed by a scam. You have been warned. If you like being lied to, scamed, and worthless dealer add-ons, then you will love Vandergriff Honda. Fortunately my father walked out and did not fall for the scam. More
Had been pricing Orange Fits for awhile - wanted a Sport, nothing fancy. Internet salesman quoted us at $14,650.00 I was shocked - even sent him another e-mail to clarify that the quote was for a 2009 Oran nothing fancy. Internet salesman quoted us at $14,650.00 I was shocked - even sent him another e-mail to clarify that the quote was for a 2009 Orange Fit Sport - he confirmed everything. We drove all the way there (2.5 hrs) to find out that "oops, he made a mistake and quoted us for the base price". We didn't even get to talk to him - we got shuffled over to a new salesman b/c the one who was working with us via e-mail was 'busy' (there was NO ONE in there!). They didn't even have a new Orange Sport on the lot. The only Orange Fit they had was a used base that we test drove, became interested in, then "oh, that one's actually sold." After them trying to charge us above MSRP for a new Silver Sport (a color we didn't even want) AND then trying to sale us the used Orange Fit that was 'already sold', we got up and left. Very, very frustrating that we spent all that time driving up there and putting up with that. More
I went to Vandrgriff Honda to look at a new 2010 Honda Odyssey for my wife to replace her 2002 Odyssey. Ariel Yapez showed me all of the new features that are on the new models that my wife's car does not Odyssey for my wife to replace her 2002 Odyssey. Ariel Yapez showed me all of the new features that are on the new models that my wife's car does not have now. We looked at all of the models they had available, but didn't care for any of the colors they had on their lot. They checked around and found the color she wanted and had it in stock in two days. I was really impressed with the way they worked with us on color and price. I was so impressed I started looking at the 2010 Honda CR-v models to replace my 2002 CR-v. They again found exactly what I wanted with everything on it I was looking for. They got it on their lot in two days. I was so impressed with their overall attitude of great customer service and super prices I bought both cars the same day. My wife and I now drive our new 2010 Odyssey and 2010 CR-V and are telling all of our friends what a great deal we got from a great group of people at Vandergriff Honda. More
$12000 UPSIDE DOWN IN 8K MILES ON A USED CAR I BOUGHT THERE!!!!. My wife and I bought a late model honda SUV there 12 months ago. We have only put 8k miles on it and have taken good care of the vehicle. THERE!!!!. My wife and I bought a late model honda SUV there 12 months ago. We have only put 8k miles on it and have taken good care of the vehicle. We have payed $3500 in principal on the car and felt we should be relativly close to even on the payoff since we bought it there and according to them "got a good price considering the resale value is soo high on this vehicle". however when we went to trade to a larger SUV (we have a new addition to the family) we were INSULTED when they told us we were $12000 upside down!!. they then added insult to injury by suggesting we pay $7000 down and over $700 a month at 15% intrest on a used pilot. We are currently financed at 8% and $400 a month and have NEVER been late on a payment, on anything. We were willing to except a little higher payment but that is not even close to a good deal. They refused to even try to work with us,when asked why we were so upside down ona car we bought used from them and basically returned a year later with only a few more miles on it., They said "we can't do anything about that". They are CROOKS and don't like it when you trade in a car you bought there because they get caught in thier own lies about the "good deal" they are giving you when you bought it and their practice of buying cars cheap at auto auctions (check the CARFAX'S) or simply screwing someone out of their trade and selling it a huge markup. Honda's are still my favorite car but go to another dealer and you probobaly won't get a bad deal. VANDERGRIFF RIPPED US OFF. More
I wasted an entire afternoon there. I called this morning and told the internet salesman how much I have to spend on a used or possibly new vehicle. (I have done weeks of internet research about the vehicle and told the internet salesman how much I have to spend on a used or possibly new vehicle. (I have done weeks of internet research about the vehicle I was interested in and am familiar with prices in our area.) I was expecting to talk about used cars and was surprised when the salesman said he could get me into a new car for the price I told him I can spend. I said, "Really?" and he said yes. I drove all the way over there and inquired several times if he was going to be able to do business at my price and was assured he could. I drove a car, looked at colors and thought I was about to buy a car when the salesman suddenly said that the price is around $7,000 more than the price I had been asking him about since 9:00am this morning. If he had been truthful with me this morning, I wouldn't have wasted my (or his) time. All I want is an honest and upfront dealership. Is that too much to ask? I wish I had videotaped it for YouTube. I recently bought a used vehicle from this company. The sales guy I worked with was good, but it could have been better. When I did my paperwork with the finance guy, all of it has incorrect information. W sales guy I worked with was good, but it could have been better. When I did my paperwork with the finance guy, all of it has incorrect information. What's worse is that he offers you all of these extra products and when you say that you are not interested, then he says that he will throw them in for free. NOT!!!! If you look at your paperwork carefully, you were charged for these items. I feel like the Smart Note that they offer, is a crook of bull. You can pay your own car note to the financial institution...you don't need a third party to do that for you. Then, if I was reading the paperwork correctly, they charge you a full car note! And don't get me started on the vehicle. I have had the vehicle only 1 week and it started having problems. I spoke with the sales guy and he assured me that when I brought the vehicle back in on Monday, he would have the vehicle looked at and they would provide a loaner vehicle. Boy, was I mistaken. I went there with the anticipation of getting the problem taken care of and was told that the vehicle is under warranty and should be taken care of, but I need to take it to the Dodge Dealership If I wanted to have problems with a vehicle, I would have kept the car I was previously driving. I didn't want a car note only to have problems with the vehicle I bought! And to add even more insult to injury, the Dodge dealership advised me that if it's not a manufacture issue, then I will have to have it taken care of. I am very disappointed in the way the manager of used cars sales treated me and I would never recommend anyone to purchase cars from them. One of my friends told me that she forgot to inform me to stay away from this dealership! Wish she would have warned me sooner! More
My boyfriend had the same experience as most of the people who wrote reviews. A week ago to this day, my boyfriend traded in his Audi for a Toyota Tacoma. The salesman quoted him a price and let him people who wrote reviews. A week ago to this day, my boyfriend traded in his Audi for a Toyota Tacoma. The salesman quoted him a price and let him take the truck home so I could see it. When we got back to the dealership, the salesman said he had made a mistake and quoted us a new price which was higher than the first. The interest rate was ridiculous. However, my boyfriend really loved the truck so he was willing to pay a little more than what he had expected. Then on Monday, he gets a phone call from someone named Tony who told him that he needed to come in to sign some paperwork, but he wouldn't say what the paperwork was. My boyfriend told him he wouldn't be able to make it up there until Wednesday. On Wednesday, like clockwork, Tony calls again about the "paperwork" they need signed. When my boyfriend arrived at the dealership today they told him that they were raising his interest rate by 6 points because of something that had to do with the bank. My boyfriend told them no way and asked for his Audi back. However, these people obviously don't understand what the word "No" means because after speaking to one of their finance guys, Chris, and telling him that he couldn't do it, they brought in another guy to try and convince him that he should just go ahead with the higher interest rate. Finally, after an hour of going back and forth with the people at the dealership, they finally gave him his keys to his Audi and he left. I think because we are a young couple, they thought they could take advantage of us. These are the kind of dealerships who give salesman a bad name. More
