We made the trip from Chilton after checking out online what was available in used trucks and were very pleased with our experience. The deal we made on our new truck was great! We had done a lot of shopping around before coming to Van Horn Dodge where we received the best price. We were very pleased with the great staff, especially Christian our salesman who got us the price we wanted - thanks Christian! Paul & Cindy More
I initially found the vehicle I was interested in online at Van Horn Dodge in Plymouth, WI. Van Horn is about 1 1/2 hour drive from where I live so I didn't want to make the trip down until I knew I was goi at Van Horn Dodge in Plymouth, WI. Van Horn is about 1 1/2 hour drive from where I live so I didn't want to make the trip down until I knew I was going to get a good price on the vehicle. Paul and I negotiated over the phone and everything went just fine. Once the price was agreed upon, Paul said the pricing was only good that day and wanted me to come down immediately to get the vehicle. Because it would have taken several days for me to complete the financing with my bank, Paul suggested that I just write a personal check out to them to "Hold" on to until the check from the bank came through. He assured me that they did business like this all the time and it was not a big deal at all for them. So I decided to move forward with it. I made the trip down and picked up the truck. Upon seeing the truck in person, I found quite a few major scratches on it that were not noticeable in the pictures online. He then sold me on the fact that he would arrange for the vehicle to be brought back in after the purchase for the detail shop to take care of the scratches for me free of charge. He told me it would take the better part of a day to fix as some of the scratches were quite deep so I should plan on bringing the vehicle back and dropping it off one day, taking a loaner vehicle home from them and then returning the next day to pick my vehicle back up. I agree and went home that day with a new vehicle (Friday). Where things started to go wrong was on Tuesday when I received a notice from the bank stating that my account had been overdrawn. Low and behold they had cashed the check! After they had assured me up and down that they would not do this, they did. I immediately called to talk to someone at Van Horn to discuss the issue. I had to call four different times before I actually got in touch with Evert (finance guy). I explained to him what had happened and, in turn, he simply laughed out loud and told me that it was a simple mistake. Simple mistake for them maybe! Keep in mind we're talking $22,000 here! As with most people, I certainly didn't have $22,000 in my bank and incurred many different fees from this on top of having to try to explain the situation to my bank several times. After this fact the financing had been completed through my bank so they had ALSO sent them a check for $22,000. At this point Van Horn had double the money they should have. Again, I had to call Evert back and explain this to him of which he asked "How is this possible?". Errrrrr After several phone calls, emails, bank discussions, etc. I did finally get my money back about two weeks later and Van Horn did cover the bank charges I had incurred. What a mess. After this fiasco I still had to get my truck scheduled back in to have the scratches fixed on it as promised. When I called Paul Miller back to schedule the appt., he had no clue what I was talking about - of course. Long story short, I did end up taking the truck down to get fixed. They did not have me drop the truck off as he promised. I had to drive the truck down, wait in the waiting room for it while it was fixed, and then drive home the same afternoon. Overall the time they spent on the truck was about 1 1/2 hours as compared to the "better part of a day" as promised. Needless to say, the scratches were not fixed. All they literally did was wash and wax the vehicle which I could have done myself at home and saved a LOT of time. That's my experience in a nutshell and not a good one at that. Obviously I would recommend you NEVER write them a check to "Hold" a vehicle unless you have the funds to cover it. And if they promise they will take care of something after the sale of the vehicle - Get It In Writing! Lesson learned. More
Before making the 2 hour trip south to Plymouth, I checked several cars at this dealership online. I was pleased to come home with one of those vehicles and at a satisfactory price. No other dealer w checked several cars at this dealership online. I was pleased to come home with one of those vehicles and at a satisfactory price. No other dealer would come close to making a deal with our trade. More
We made the drive from Madison to Sheboygan and Plymouth to look at specific cars we had seen online in the Van Horn inventory. We had the vehicle we were looking for narrowed down a few models, and Van Hor to look at specific cars we had seen online in the Van Horn inventory. We had the vehicle we were looking for narrowed down a few models, and Van Horn had the best selection and prices within 250 miles of home. The trip was well worth it. We had four or five cars in the inventory on our list of vehicles to look at, and we actually found a vehicle in our price range with fewer miles and more features than we were shooting for. Our van was missing a few accessories which we didn't notice until we got home, and the sales managers gladly helped us out. Everyone there was very courteous and friendly. When it comes time to buy our next car, Van Horn Dodge will be first on our list. More

Mark when asked to provided any and all information requested without hesitation. When our decision was made to drive to Plymouth from southeastern Wisconsin to test drive vehicles, Mark Sloan came in on his day off to the dealership to assist us. While at the dealership neither Mark Sloan or any other employee made the experience uncomfortable or did we feel pressured. Customer service and financing was good as well. I would recommend the Van Horn Group, and specifically Mark Sloan to be their salesperson, to anyone interested in a new or used vehicle. More
My experience with Van Horn Dodge from the time I stepped into their door was a great one. I was greeted from that point and my sales rep, Paul Miller was located quickly. I had previously called to make s into their door was a great one. I was greeted from that point and my sales rep, Paul Miller was located quickly. I had previously called to make sure the vehicle that I found on AutoTrader.com was still available. Paul took the time to double check and call me back. On Saturday, I drove four hours with my parents to test drive a Jeep Compass. By the end of my visit, Paul, Evert, and Christina all had helped me through my purchase. I drove home that day with my used Jeep Compass. Thank you Van Horn Dodge for a great staff - they are friendly and easy to work with. They were not pushy and gave me all the details that I needed to make my final decision. More
First I was impressed with the number of customers when I arrived at 7 PM on a week night. Everyone was very helpful from start to finish, by the time I left the dealership with my new car it was 9:30 and t arrived at 7 PM on a week night. Everyone was very helpful from start to finish, by the time I left the dealership with my new car it was 9:30 and there were still three associates there helping me complete my transaction. I was an hour from home and there was road construction in the area. Bryan Fiecko one of the associates at Van Horn offered to let me follow him until I was well on my way home and knew where I was going. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Van Horn to anyone. This car buying experience was a very positive one! Thank you, Jolynn McKinnon More

Their service and parts department employees are very knowledgable and always make you feel they have time for you. The sales people I worked with in past, and especially during this purchase, were very professional and courteous, and I never once felt that I was being sold that bridge in the desert everyone talks about. The sales person stayed after closing time twice for us as our work schedules did not allow us to get there soon enough to conclude things in time. He took us for test drives, located vehicles in the dealer network, and went to find the answers to questions he did not feel he could answer completely enough - that is very commendable! Overall, I will continue to urge friends, family, and acquaintences to try Van Horn Dodge before they buy elsewhere. I myself, will continue to remain a loyal customer as I always reward exceptional behaviors and treatment. More
