Willing to help I had a small leak in a 2010 Murano with 59K miles on it. I took it to Boulder Nissan and they said that the Transfer Case (TC) was leaking and had I had a small leak in a 2010 Murano with 59K miles on it. I took it to Boulder Nissan and they said that the Transfer Case (TC) was leaking and had to be resealed at a cost of about $1500. A couple of days later I was doing some research online a found that the TC holds only about 2 cups of fluid. I went back to Boulder Nissan and asked them if they had checked the TC fluid level when the determined that the TC was leaking. They said that they had not because it was difficult to get to and that the exhaust manifold was right there and would be too hot (they had the car for 4 hours). They told me I could make another appointment and bring the car in and for $75, they would check the TC fluid level. I took the car to my own mechanic and in 5 minutes, he opened the fill plug and fluid poured out from an overfilled TC. We captured the fluid and it appeared to have transmission fluid in the liquid. I took the fluid sample to Boulder Nissan and they just said that it was still just a TC problem, nothing to do with the transmission (which is still under the extended CVT warranty). I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs who basically told me there was nothing that they would do to help me out. They told me that based on what Boulder Nissan told them, it was strictly a TC problem. They would not even pay to analyze the fluid removed from the TC I called Valley Nissan and talked to Nate Wysock, the service manager at Valley Nissan. I explained to him what my mechanic had discovered. He felt from what I described, that the transmission seal was probably bad and causing CVT fluid to leak into the TC. He said that if this was the problem, it would be covered under the extended warranty. He told me to bring in the vehicle and they would drain the TC and the transmission and determine what was going on and they would do this at no charge. It turned out that the Transmission Seal to the TC was bad and that, indeed, transmission fluid was leaking into the TC. Not only that, the "TC leak" that Boulder Nissan diagnosed, was actually fluid coming out of the breather tube at the top of the TC, due to the overfill problem. NO TC LEAK AFTERALL. Valley Nissan repaired the transmission leak under the extended CVT warranty. Nate and the rest of the staff a Valley Nissan couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. Nate and Aiden were very communicative and kept us well informed as to the progress of the repair. They even offered us a free loaner car, which we did not need. When they ran into an additional issue that was not covered under the warranty, they went ahead and made that repair at no additional charge. I would highly recommend Valley Nissan, and a special thanks to Nate Wycoff. More

Our salesman Oscar and the finance manager Jose made the process quick and painless, and we got exactly what we wanted at the price we could afford. I am 58 years old and have bought many automobiles. This was by far the best car-buying experience I've ever had. More
