Valenti Audi responded

Having started with the Valenti company in May of 2009, I am pleased to report that I have not heard of many of these cases. Also having personally made countless home visits and rescues for flat tires and the like while working here, I am sorry that roadside assistance wasn't immediately available when this client called. I am disappointed that this customer may not have been advised how much any service visit would cost in advance, although that would be unusual. We agree that no-one should be surprised at bill paying time. As far as scratches on the exterior of the vehicle are concerned, we attempt to go over the exterior of each car presented to us for service so that a consumer is reminded and aware of the condition of their vehicle prior to service work. While it is not impossible that we might scratch a car, it doesn't happen often. If the scratch looks fresh, we generally err in favor of the customer, and repair it. In the majority of cases, we hand-wash cars following a service visit to give the consumer back a car that is cleaner and more appealing than the condition in which it was left. Finally, this customer suggests that the reader should draw their own conclusion about the failure of a computer chip. We agree. Evidence is presented that a mechanic told this client that the only way that an automotive computer fails is if the computer is tampered with...the implication being that our company must have done something to cause the computer to fail a week or so after a recall and oil change visit. We don't find that conclusion credible. We are totally motivated to keep our customer's vehicles running well at the lowest possible cost to consumers. Those actions build brand and dealership loyalty, which is our everyday goal. As an organization, when we fail to satisfy a customer, we acknowledge our mistakes and do what we can to make it right. While it appears as though we didn't do well here, we invite open dialogue on how we can improve processes to insure the most satisfied customers possible.
