Took 2010 Accent with damaged tire/rim, covered under warranty in for repairs. They also own the neighboring Nissan dealership. A pushy salesman tried to sell us on the idea that buying an older model warranty in for repairs. They also own the neighboring Nissan dealership. Took 2 hours to get keys back, and by the time got the keys the service bay had closed. Would not provide loaner or any assistance with getting repairs done. Asked to speak to manager, who said that it was appropriate for his salesman to try to get people to buy another car rather than get the old one fixed. But really? Let's trade a 2010 with bumper to bumper and road hazard warranty for 100K miles in on an older model Nissan with higher miles on it and much less warranty? It was a 20 year old female taking the car in for repairs, and obviously they thought they had a sucker on the line. BUYER BEWARE. More

My wife and I visited Universal Hyundai in hopes of purchasing a car on their lot we saw online. Upon entrance to the dealership, the first order of business was to check out our car (which we were thi purchasing a car on their lot we saw online. Upon entrance to the dealership, the first order of business was to check out our car (which we were thinking about trading in) before allowing us to look at the car we came to see. The dealer incessantly asked if we would be interested in another car which we repeatedly responded to with a 'No, please just show us the car we've come here to see' After 40+ minutes of waiting and being dragged around the lot, we find out the car was not even there. It had been sold earlier that day. This after being reassured that the car was still on the lot. This dealership showed absolute lack of consideration for our time and effort. Complete unprofessionalism. I will NEVER go here again. More

Jamel was an AMAZING sales person. He did not ONCE make me feel like he was trying to take advantage of us or make us do something that was not right for us. My husband and I both enjoyed this car buying e me feel like he was trying to take advantage of us or make us do something that was not right for us. My husband and I both enjoyed this car buying experience more than any other we have EVER had! Jamel is the ONLY car sales man we will ever use from now on! Great experience. My only drawback was the interaction with one of the sales managers. I felt he was a little less forthcoming and obviously had other interests, but overall I completely enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend them. More

I was so impressed by the service I received at Universal Hyundai! My mother and sister have both bought their cars from this same place and I wanted to get a Jeep, but they changed my minds. I was very nervous because I have never bought a car from a dealership. I had worked with Adam and his assistant over the internet before I went to get a car. They were so helpful! Adam made this process super easy and exciting to by my 13 Hyundai Elantra. I am also a recent graduate and he was able to get me a great deal on my budget! He was honest and made this experience the best! He was also very knowledgeable when it came to the questions I asked. We were having issues with our insurance company, but Adam was so patient and willing to do anything to help. I would recommend that anyone see Adam when they get their car. More
I wanted to buy a specific model, year, trim etc for a desired price. Dealership agreed to the new car price over the phone. I asked to have it confirmed by the Sales Manager and was told Yes, the would s desired price. Dealership agreed to the new car price over the phone. I was given the car's VIN, details, etc. I set up new car insurance and made the trip to the dealership for a cash sale on a new car. Was made to wait about 45 minutes before the Sales manager comes out and says that they would not honor the price. I told him I would not negotiate since they had already promised the price to me. Bottom line... after second review, they would not honor the price promised to me and I left. I believe they thought they had me cornered since I traveled to the dealership and had set up specific auto insurance using the quoted car VIN. What a sleazy group. I would stay away from these guys. Horrible experience. I have contacted and opened complaints with Hyundai Corporate, BBB, and will make sure I share this situation with others. This is what people often joke about regarding horrible car sales experiences. More
