BUYER BEWARE I’m regretfully writing this review to all customers and future customers of Tracy Volkswagen. The sale experiences On 1/18/2023 I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. At first all was fine, a nice door greeting, a professional test drive, but don’t let this fool you. Once I sat down, I heard the sales team making inappropriate and insensitive jokes ranging from crude humor to horribly racist comments about the African American community. At this point I should have gone running due to the lack of professionalism indicating they don’t care about image and mannerism in their dealership. Unfortunately, I was time committed on my only free day that I bought the car and left. BIG MISTAKE. To add insult to injury they attempted to sell me a car on an empty tank of gas and balked when I asked if they can fill the tank because that is industry standard. The DMV processing nightmare Now it’s mid-February. As some may or may not know; in the state of California when any auto sale occurs, the transfer of ownership must take place in 30 days (AKA state issued registration, tags, and plates). When I called the dealer, I was met with a stone wall of “we are backed up and we will do it ASAP sorry”. After a few weeks of this I decided to visit the DMV and was shockingly informed that the vehicle was never owned by Tracy Volkswagen and is still under lien! This means that they legally cannot transfer me the ownership nor was it their car to sell! At this point I have a car on a loan that I don’t own, needs repairs that can’t be made because I don’t own it, and it’s under lien at another bank that I’ve never heard of. It's now late April I was blown off by the finance manager Michael Buffington who has seemed to given up on resolving this issue. I called the general line and was road blocked with a General Sales Manager whom gave the first name David and delivered the same empty promises of resolve. Throughout this whole process I have attempted to speak with the General Dealership Manager Patrick Connelly and have been met with “I can’t give out his number, he is not available”, and worst of all “I will have him call you” and he never does. At this point I have given up working with them, and will most likely have to sue this car dealership. I will update this review if they happen to show good faith and issue a full refund and take back the vehicle, but I’m not optimistic. More
Took my tdi in for failed fuel pump joe at the service was great. Look at the vin # and told me it was under warranty. This company is a scam selling used vehicles (not sure about new one)! Bait and switch. Scam 1: The "complementary lifetime powertrain warranty*" is a lie. Please note that "*" = "see dealer for details about new one)! Bait and switch. Scam 1: The "complementary lifetime powertrain warranty*" is a lie. Please note that "*" = "see dealer for details", and when you arrived, the answer is "your selected vehicle does not qualify". This ad is just to lure you to go there, since Tracy is far from major bay area population. When you complain, the deal manager just say "I did not put the ad"... Scam 2: Dealer applied "protective coating" interior, applied a small piece of protective film at handle area to prevent scratches. Want to charge extra XX hundreds of the dollars on top of the ad price. When you complain, the deal manager just say "every dealer did the same thing, otherwise, we cannot compete!" DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! More
Jonathan and Abid went above and beyond to help us purchase our new car. We didn't feel pressure to make our purchase and they worked with us to stay winthin our budget. First time for service- reported three issues and left car w them for the week. Just got a call, they said come get it we cannot duplicate the issues at all. Asked about a loaner. We purchased a Mazda in January 2021. We were pressured into buying $4000 worth of warrantees which we soon realized did not benefit us. We’ve been trying to cancel these since then. These people only seem to care about selling a car and being done with you!. We have written many letters and made many phone calls and To both the dealership and the warranty companies. All we get is a run around. More
Worst experience ever. I drove up to see a truck with an appointment. Truck had been off sight for repairs for 2 days but they called me repeatedly to make sure I would be there. So then I waiter for that truck to be fixed for over 4 months. Then after it was finally fixed they wanted to jack up the price on me. The General Sales Manager Patrick Connelly called me all crazy and put words in my mouth and was extremely aggressive and rude because I had called and informed the owner of what I had experienced. Avoid this dealership at all costs! More
Worked with Joe and Abid to purchase our 2017 Escalade. The deal we got on the vehicle, along with the trade-in value we got on our vehicle, was the best within a 100 miles radius of us. And did I say that these guys have LIFETIME Powertrain Warranty on the vehicles they sell?? That is an incentive in itself, price aside. We did have some issues with some service contracts, but that was handled and sorted out. Highly recommended. More
I had a bitter experience with this dealership. I am out of state customer wanting to buy Tesla Model 3 and initially, this dealership agreed to sell it to a out of state customer as long as the customer ta of state customer wanting to buy Tesla Model 3 and initially, this dealership agreed to sell it to a out of state customer as long as the customer takes care of shipping. I got a quote from them and I also provided the info necessary for them to run my credit for financing the vehicle. Now the sales manager is not willing to sell it to out of state customer. He should have told me upfront and I would not have provided my personal info and would not have wasted my time and energy. i tried to talk to the general manager and he doesn't let me talk to him either. PLEASE STAY AWAY from this dealership for the used car buy. They entice you with prices, collect the personal info and then give excuses for not selling the vehicle. More
