We apologize you had this inconvenience but selling a used vehicle that is on our lot is not SHADY in any way shape or form – it is the car business. We don’t “hold” used cars for customers unless they are very special circumstances and non-refundable partial payments are made.  Additionally, it is regrettable that when we have 23-25 salespeople all trying to sell vehicles and 4-5 sales managers that work deals it is virtually impossible to keep track of who might be showing / selling what versus who might come in to look at a vehicle.  While you were very sincere in showing up many others don’t (and they don’t call or text they just don’t show up) – we apologize that nobody got to you before driving up here. We regret that you were not contacted sooner about other options and missed the chance to find a vehicle that fit your needs. Again – we apologize for the inconvenience and we weren’t trying to be “shady” about the potential transaction.   Dan Hinic, General Manager Toyota of Rock Hill | dhinic@Group1Auto.com
