Overall: Toyota of Renton, and our salesman Guanhong Yu, provided the best used car purchase experience I have ever had, and I've probably purchased at least 40 cars in my lifetime. We came in looking a provided the best used car purchase experience I have ever had, and I've probably purchased at least 40 cars in my lifetime. We came in looking at a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT that was listed online, and when we initially inspected the vehicle, it had just come in on a trade and needed detailing. Nevertheless, we went back and forth a little, and eventually agreed on a price which was below the fair market value. We left after putting down a deposit, with the agreement that we'd sign the final paperwork and take the car home in a few days after they detailed it and did a safety check. So here's the summary of our experience thereafter: On their own accord, the management undertook about $2500 in labor and maintenance items that were far above and beyond what any car dealership has offered me in the past. For example, the tires on the car were at about 50% wear, but the dealership put new tires on, without us asking. The wiper blades were decent, but not new, so they replaced them. The brakes were getting down there but passable, but they replaced the rotors and pads anyway. They replaced the CVT transmission fluid. They took the car to a body shop to re-align the front bumper cover. All in all there was probably 20 maintenance or minor repair items they took care of upon their own initiative. Mr. Yu explained that they wanted the car leaving the lot with not much needed other than oil changes for the next three years. My 19 year old son had sweated and saved for quite awhile to buy this car with his own money. This was his first car buying experience. We were both rather astounded at this level of customer service, and were steeped in gratitude. I would recommend this dealership to any family member or friend, and send them directly to Mr. Yu. Thank you Renton Toyota! More
I have free service from Toyota. My next service is due in December but they advising me that contract expired in August. The sticker is only thing I have that reminds me of the service. They kept arguing and wouldn’t honor the free agreement. I had a service done in June and there’s no way I’ll come for a service in August. Even the sticker on my windshield stated December not August. For a $65 service it was not worth the argument. It’s about agreement. More
I just bought a 2017 Camry and I'm pretty sure the battery card just died. But really now, you put down that the battery was in excellent condition in your paperwork. At least tell the xxxx truth on t battery card just died. But really now, you put down that the battery was in excellent condition in your paperwork. At least tell the xxxx truth on that, so I don't get stuck some where with the elders I serve. Like seriously I'm supposed to drive clients to and from appointments, and if I get stuck I'm SOL. Y'all probably at you desk, laughing about this review. Just distasteful. Funnier thing is how many people in my family owns a Toyota. Next time I'll take it to Toyota Burien. More
Dealer mark up. The sales team doesn't know how to deal. They only care the deal is done with give the pressure to the customer. The sales team doesn't know how to deal. They only care the deal is done with give the pressure to the customer. More
I went for my 50,000miles service, I told John McDonald more then a dozen times that I was 4,000miles late for my 50,000mile service, he said ok and charged me less then 300$ I said that seem to cheap, he more then a dozen times that I was 4,000miles late for my 50,000mile service, he said ok and charged me less then 300$ I said that seem to cheap, he said the next service, the 60,000 mile one, was gonna b the expensive visit, I said ok thx and good bye. My car seemed to b running kinda funny so I checked the paper work, and Mr. McDonald did a 5,000mile check up not a 50,000mile service like I asked for so many times that my friend that was with me made fun of me by asking me 'are u sure they know what u want' over and over all day. I guess I should've said it 2 dozen times, I don't know if it's cuz I'm a woman or if they think they know better then everybody, but he repeated 50,000mile service to me before and after they did the work. He even told me when I asked about the oil change that I didn't need one, my car hasn't had an oil change in 19,000miles now thx to him, I don't know what it's gonna cost me to fix this but I won't b going to a Toyota dealership to get the work done cuz unfortunately this is not the first dealership I've been screwed over at, I will never buy a Toyota again, not after what Doxon Toyota did to me (and I didn't even tell u what they did) and Renton Toyota. I'll b buying a Ford soon, very soon. More
Toyota Renton sold us a 2018 Prius which stopped running after one week and requires over $6000. repairs including 3 new lifter to replace the ones frozen in the head.. They said they couldn't give us a war after one week and requires over $6000. repairs including 3 new lifter to replace the ones frozen in the head.. They said they couldn't give us a warranty because the car had too many miles but does that justify selling us a car requiring $6000 worth repairs? More
Frustrated. A representative openly sneering and snubbed me when I took my car for service. ( pre paid service for the next four years) . Can you kindly treat your customers respectively irrespective of gen me when I took my car for service. ( pre paid service for the next four years) . I would never recommend anyone to do business with this dealer. We worked out a deal (after they pulled credit) and had all financing in place and agreed upon. Once it was all in place I asked if I need to dealer. We worked out a deal (after they pulled credit) and had all financing in place and agreed upon. Once it was all in place I asked if I need to put a deposit on it before we did our hour and half drive. They had stated no. We arrive to find another could looking at the vehicle. We spoke to our sales person and as far as we were told we were getting the paperwork ready. While we waited( over an hour) the couple took the car on a test drive. We watched them leave and come back while we were still waiting. About 15 minutes after they returned we were told they were buying the car. We asked how did that happen. We were told the manager wanted the deal to go to their top salesmen. We had asked to speak to the manager John lovely or something like that. We were told he was on a phone call an couldn’t talk. This was them most upsetting part. Not that we didn’t get the vehicle but that the manager was too much of a coward to come out and face the 23 year veteran he just screwed over. More
