NO ROOM FOR NEGOTIATION ON PRICE On the positive side Salesmen "Jose" was very nice but he seems to have his hands tight by the managers to be able to negotiate price with customers. On the positive side Salesmen "Jose" was very nice but he seems to have his hands tight by the managers to be able to negotiate price with customers. Based on other reviews I read here and my personal experience, you should come to this dealer to pay what they have on the tag, SALES TEAM DOES NOT NEGOTIATE PRICE AT THIS DEALER contrary to the good experience I had in the past at Toyota Universe on route 46 in New Jersey. Ana Mayers in sales had the best price I had a very positive experience with Ana Mayers in sales. I priced a 2017 Highlander with six dealers in the Bergen/Passaic County area and not only I had a very positive experience with Ana Mayers in sales. I priced a 2017 Highlander with six dealers in the Bergen/Passaic County area and not only did she beat every price she went above and beyond to help me with every question and request. I was coming out of complicated lease through a credit union and in spite of all the challenges she was able to keep the deal as promised and kept me updated every step of the way. It can be a challenge to deal with some car sales people, even in new car sales, so my experience with Ana and Hackensack Toyota was refreshing. I would certainly recommend Ana and this dealership to anyone looking for the best price and a no-hassle experience. More
Terrible salesman and a non-negotiable attitude People have to make sales, reach quotas, etc. I get it. Sales is a tough industry, but you do not need to lie to your customers just to make a sale. I People have to make sales, reach quotas, etc. I get it. Sales is a tough industry, but you do not need to lie to your customers just to make a sale. I walked in there with the full intention of buying a certified truck I saw on their website. Unfortunately, my salesman, Mokhtar, thought I did not know anything about the truck, the market value of the truck, how long it's been sitting on the lot, and the different options or lack of options the truck had. Not only did he treat me like I did not know anything on the vehicle, there was no sense of negotiating when Mokhtar did the whole back and forth "let me go ask my manager" routine. I did not give a low ball offer and was flexible with the asking price, but the "this is the final price take it or leave it" attitude gave me a very bad impression of this dealership. More
Dealership Does Not Honor Their Coupons I received an email on my birthday that stated "15% Off Your Next Visit." I was very excited because I needed 4 new tires and I would save a good amo I received an email on my birthday that stated "15% Off Your Next Visit." I was very excited because I needed 4 new tires and I would save a good amount of money. The total came out to about $750 with labor. When I mentioned the coupon discount they said they couldn't honor the full 15%. The best they could do was 5% off the tires and $20 off the labor. I mean, this is better than nothing at all, but then why send me an email that says 15% off. I even looked through the fine print and it mentioned nothing about tires. It just said it could not be combined with other promotions. I left feeling duped and cheated on my birthday. I don't want to sound childish, but it wasn't fair. Don't send me a special discount because its my birthday and then decide you can't honor the full 15%. I'm already hesitant to bring my car for service to any Toyota service department because I always feel I end up overpaying every time. This just proves my thoughts and point. I'd rather support small business auto repair shops than keep overpaying to big corporate companies that pretend to strive to great customer service. More
Excellent Experience We found a certified 2015 Sienna Toyota with low, low mileage in just the color we wanted on Carfax. Only downside was that it was at Toyota of Hacken We found a certified 2015 Sienna Toyota with low, low mileage in just the color we wanted on Carfax. Only downside was that it was at Toyota of Hackensack, which involved taking two bridges and the Cross Bronx Expressway from our home on Long Island. But the travel (and traffic) were well worth it! The purchase went smoothly, thanks to the professionalism and customer concern of our salesperson, Melissa, who, along with sales manager Mario helped us stay within our budget, always called us back promptly during the purchase process, and even came in early on delivery day so we could pick up the vehicle before the dreaded rush hour traffic started. Vehicle is beautiful -- almost new in wonderful condition. The dealership handled getting the NY registration so we coiuld transfer our plates, and Rosa helped us by overnighting the registration when it came in. We took the vehicle to our local dealer for inspection and are now good to go!! Thanks to everyone at Hackensack Toyota. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, customer friendly dealership. . More
