I explained my issue to joe after 2 hour's he stated he didn't find a problem and he sent me on my way.. lol. U would think he would ask me to take a ride with him and explain the issue while driving the car. They adjusted my recall mats with out even a vacuum or wash.. no loaner car available either. More
One of the best salesmen! My husband and I decided to search for a replacement for our 2000 Dodge Dakota PU. After a lot of research we narrowed it down to a Toyota Tacoma. I My husband and I decided to search for a replacement for our 2000 Dodge Dakota PU. After a lot of research we narrowed it down to a Toyota Tacoma. I had phone calls in to a different dealer who never called me back. It was just by chance that we stopped into Toyota of Hackensack. We walked to the front desk and was greeted by Chelsea, I told her we were interested in test driving a Tacoma but I wanted a salesman who was knowledgeable on trucks……she knew just the one…..Armando. Armando has been great. He has done everything in his power to make sure we received the exact truck we wanted. We are now the proud owners of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. From start to finish Armando and his associates are a class act! More
Excellent Service Took my wife's 2013 Prius V Wagon for 15K service without an appointment. Was in and out of the dealership in just a little over an hour. Very courteo Took my wife's 2013 Prius V Wagon for 15K service without an appointment. Was in and out of the dealership in just a little over an hour. Very courteous and helpful. When purchasing the vehicle, however, I found their sales department to be a high-pressure low-class operation with the typical "how much do you want to pay per month" sales pitch. We purchased from Prestige Toyota which was a straightforward sales operation with no low-end games. But I would not hesitate to bring the Prius back to Toyota of Hackensack. More
Toyota Highlander 2010 - Certified The worst dealership ever. Bought a certified highlander paid them the $350 for the title/paper work and all that crap and still they messed up. Tried The worst dealership ever. Bought a certified highlander paid them the $350 for the title/paper work and all that crap and still they messed up. Tried calling them multiple times and no answer. Eventually had to pay $85 out of pocket to get the bank listed on the title. Here are few things that I noticed: - Sales dept suck! - Managers are pissed off, I am not sure why and I don't care. - No one has a smile on their face - Dirt all over. Chairs, tables, carpet, floor... - Lack of ownership - I don't care attitude. - They will give you wrong information in a blink of an eye just to win over an argument. -WOW! I am going to try East Coast next time for service. They have a new service center and staff was very polite when I tired a walk in. Believe me, stay away from this dealer. There are plenty around. Toyota of Hackensack, NJ has changed...for the better! Hence my 5 star rating across the board. For the last several years, I have brought my 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS to this dealership. Admittedly, there h Hence my 5 star rating across the board. For the last several years, I have brought my 2000 Toyota Avalon XLS to this dealership. Admittedly, there have been an occasion or two over this time period where the level of service I received was sub-par (i.e., I requested that the car be washed after an oil change and Service did not do it). That said, my most experience was an about-face / 180 degrees. In fact, the level of service was awesome! To be more specific; they took the time to detail all of the servicing needed on my car (the Service Representative I worked with, Rudy, was professional, timely, and polite), provided me with a "loaner" car, gave me a good price for all of the work (which was quite extensive in nature)...and yes, washed my car. All of the Toyota representatives I encountered came across as friendly and professional...and they smiled a lot. In summary, I would recommend Toyota of Hackensack for your servicing needs - - you may be (pleasantly) surprised. - RJM More
Outstanding Sales Staff I was looking to trade in my 2002 Rav4 that needed major transmission work, for a new Rav 4. On July 4, I visited a dealership 5 minutes from my home I was looking to trade in my 2002 Rav4 that needed major transmission work, for a new Rav 4. On July 4, I visited a dealership 5 minutes from my home in Mahwah, I was given a price, no test drive and was told they would look at my old Rav, which was sitting in their service department, and get back to me with a trade in price.. Got a call back, on July 5, from the Sales Manager, he had not looked at my car yet. I called the salesman on July 9 and was told again that his Manager would call me back, and that they were going to discuss it that afternoon. I never heard from them, so several days later I got my car out of the service department and went to Toyota of Hackensack. Here I am a customer who needs to buy a car, but apparently the other dealership was not interested in making a sale. As a woman buying a car on her own the process can be intimidating. But I did my homework, knew exactly what I wanted, checked the going MSRP, dealer invoice prices, manufacturer’s rebates, and what others were paying for the same car in my area, etc. Finding and going to the right dealer can make all the difference in the world. At Toyota of Hackensack, I had a wonderful sales experience. The Sales Manager, Michael Park, immediately took me for a test drive, and in detail pointed out all the differences between my 2002 RAV and the features of the new one. We sat down and did some negotiation on price. He was soft spoken, I was treated with respect, no mind games, no hard sell tactics, no pressure to make an immediate decision. He then asked what could be done for our numbers to come closer, we agreed on a price and the deal was closed. He then turned me over to Sales Representative, Ana Mayers who helped with the rest of the transaction and with the other details. She offered to go over anything else that I might have questions about. While I was waiting, there was another woman there who bought a car on her own for her daughter she was all smiles as well. She came over to congratulate me and told me how happy she was with her purchase. I picked up my car the following day, was greeted by Michael and Ana, then introduced to Ozzie, the Financial Mgr. who had me sign all the paperwork. It was very evident that they all treated each other with the utmost respect, and that is reflected in the way they treat their customers. I regularly read reviews on line to help me make decisions on which products or brands to purchase and which businesses to frequent, but have never posted one of my own. Because of the excellent quality of service, respect and real caring that I received, I felt compelled to write this review. I would definitely recommend Toyota of Hackensack, and especially Michael and Ana when you are in the market for buying a Toyota. More

Every time I go, the experience is consistently good. (except one time and that was an anomaly so I will ignore it). The car has been a dream to own and I have to credit the dealership for maintaining it so well. The staff are friendly and try to accommodate the customer's needs. And THIS time, THEY WASHED MY CAR! They cleaned the inside and washed the exterior. I was amazed. BEST service ever! More
Bad experience Purchased a 2011 Toyota Corolla from them. It was pre-certified. After experiencing numerous issues things finally settled down. Last week brought Purchased a 2011 Toyota Corolla from them. It was pre-certified. After experiencing numerous issues things finally settled down. Last week brought car in for service. It appeared they had tried to make improvements. So I decided I wanted to trade in my car and purchase new vehicle. Well, needless say, sales department horrible. The only one who was somewhat helpful was Christian. Four days of going back and forth finally decided to go elsewhere. Went to Parkway Toyota and the experience was excellent. Within one hour (including test driving vehicle) I pretty much had the deal I wanted. I think the worst one was one of the sales manager (Brett or Brent). He was very rude. Told me the price is what it is. Seriously. Think they need a compete overhaul. More
Sean Clarke is the worst customer service representative I went in for a check up because my warning light is on, Sean Clarke the worst customer service I had at Toyota. He doesn't listen to the customer or I went in for a check up because my warning light is on, Sean Clarke the worst customer service I had at Toyota. He doesn't listen to the customer or let the customer finish telling him what the problem is before he talks over you. Very unfriendly and very rude and unprofessional. Because of him, I will never visit this dealership again. It was a world apart last time when I had a different service representative, I think his name is BIll who listens to the customer and is there to help the customer out and make me trust him. I don't mind paying what I need to get my car fix, but I am more willing to give my money to Bill then Sean. What a world apart. If you go to Toyota Hackensach and you were assign to a guy name Sean Clarke, forget about it, tell the manager you want a different representative who will respect you and who actually listens and are not rude.
