I went to look at the new crown 23’ and decided to purchase. I let the salesman Matthew know what i was looking to do when i came back to purchase the car that Friday. He told me he would relay the in purchase. I let the salesman Matthew know what i was looking to do when i came back to purchase the car that Friday. He told me he would relay the information for me and that everything would be a go at my appointment. I arrive to my appointment and wait an additional 1hr 30 minutes to find out that what was discussed was not relayed to financing as requested. So i wait another 30 or so minutes for them to fix the issue. I wrap up my paper work and noticed the mileage in the documents didn’t match the mileage in the vehicle before i drove it off the lot so i mentioned it to him and, his response was that’s not a problem. I said it is because I’m deciding to lease so i want the mileage to reflect on my paperwork. Prior to the purchase he told me he would show me how to utilize the app to start my car, he never showed me how to utilize that. By the time I had to figure it out myself, the trial was expired. Two days later, I had to come back to the dealership because my tire light would not go off, and I mentioned to his boss my concern in regards to the mileage and his boss also stated that it wouldn’t matter because after the lease is up I would want to keep the car, pretty much brushing my concern off. The day that I purchased the car, the salesman stated that he ordered me an extra key it should be there in two days. Two weeks ago by and I reach out in regards to the extra key and miraculously its there but i wasn’t notified . Following this week I went to pick up my tag and wanted to get my key at the same time but they wouldn’t allow me to do that. So I had to come back again this morning to get my key registered to my car. After completing that task, I get a call from the service people stating that one of their mechanics left the battery charger in my car so they needed me to come back again to bring it back due to their own negligence. This whole experience, not what I pictured to purchase my first car. I plan to contact corporate office. More
waste of time with "Miscommunication" I found an SUV through Costco Auto at Toyota of Greensboro. on the initial call, I was given a value of the discount off the listed price. did a quick test drive through Costco Auto at Toyota of Greensboro. on the initial call, I was given a value of the discount off the listed price. did a quick test drive. was ready to close the deal but I was repeatedly given out-the-door figures that did not include the Costco discount previously discussed. Not really talking about a lot of money but my concern is that I am going through Costco to avoid the negotiation process but this dealer multiple times tried to give me a different (higher) price. I came to DealerRater.com to see if this is systemic or not. I have not decided if this is a solvable issue. Once trust is broken it is difficult to resolve. I have opened a complaint with Costco not sure if I would use their site again. if this is to be resolved it would have to start with an apology and explanation of why. if the vehicle is still available I would not drive all the way back but the deal would need to be completed at my local bank.
