Pleased with offer, but dealer kept it a secret that Camry was now offered in an AWD version. I have recently purchased a new-to-me Rav 4. The previous owner's license plate was not coming off, despite various tools and after about a week, it was advised that I take it to a dealership since they woul owner's license plate was not coming off, despite various tools and after about a week, it was advised that I take it to a dealership since they would know where the (stripped) screws would be on the inside. This was my first time using a dealership and I was NOT impressed. On the phone I was told the service needed (removing a license plate) would take 15 minutes. When I showed up at the scheduled time, I was told itd be an hour and a half. I figured, well maybe the phone call didn't include wait time. I was then told the price could be up to 99 dollars to remove the license plate. I was floored but as I had already tried several other options before coming in, I signed. On my way out I was approached about my windshield and told I could pay for a five minute service to fix any cracks etc. I think my head was still reeling from the price tag of what I had come in for but still I definitely felt caught off guard that someone who identified himself as someone "who worked next door" could operate on the dealership property and feel free to approach me for additional paid services. An hour and half later I was called and told my car was ready. But when I showed up, the same license plate was still on my car. I told the employee and he asked "Are you sure?" and I was taken aback that I wouldn't know what the stuck license plate I've been staring at the last 6 days would look like. He went back, confirmed it was still on, and replaced it with the one I had asked. All in all i paid 89 dollars and while I get that mistakes happen, i just am not convinced at all that itd be worth my time or money to be a repeat customer. More
It is an excellent service department. We have used them for our vehicles for years. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. They have a comfortable waiting area and my vehicle is ready about when they say it will for our vehicles for years. I wouldn't go anywhere else now.
