So great when I went looking for a new car for myself just 3 weeks ago I came in myself. When I got here I was looking for a used car. I was greeted by a man named Phil who was extremely nice and knowledgeable. This being my first car buying experience he was very honest with my and did not try and sell me things I did not need. When I had picked out a few cars Ken came into the mix and was extremely nice himself. They worked with me on the price of my car and I think I personally got a great deal and couldn’t be happier with my 2015 Corolla. Thank you so much to Phil, Ken, and Toyota of Bowie. Amazing job keep it up. More

Bait and Switch Toyota of Bowie! I emailed Toyota of Bowie asking for a price quote on a new Toyota Highlander. The sales manager (willie) immediately emailed me a quote that looked I emailed Toyota of Bowie asking for a price quote on a new Toyota Highlander. The sales manager (willie) immediately emailed me a quote that looked good. Here is what the quote looked like MSRP: $41,189 Total Savings: $6647 Sale Price: $34,542 Since MSRP includes freight, i assumed that the sale price includes freight too. But when i spoke to Willie, he added almost a $1000 for freight in addition to an inflated "processing fee" etc etc. I told him that the discount he emailed me was off the MSRP which includes freight and he kept giving me the run and round to explain why he was essentially charging me freight twice. If he had the decency to apologize and agree to not do this to other unsuspecting customers, i would let this go. But i kept getting ridiculous justifications from another sales agent. I then got a call from the GM (Greg Michelsen) and he was essentially saying that it was I who got confused and there was nothing wrong with their quote. he was very dismissive and made me feel that he was doing me a favor by calling me. Yep...thats a GM with an (poor)attitude! Their customer retention rep (Rose) called me a few days later and was very understanding and acknowledged the problem with their quotes and promised to fix that going forward. She thanked me for bringing it to their notice and then directed a sales agent to give me an updated quote, but alas the sales rep (I think his name is Tim) seemed to be worse than all others. He said he would only give me an OTR price. When i insisted for a breakup, he got very defensive and insisted that it was the best price. After explaining why that dint make sense, he started breaking down the price and i immediately noticed that he had not included the total $1500 in cash back form Toyota. He insisted that it was only $1000 and not $1500. He finally agreed that the rebate was $1500 and took $500 off the OTR price he has just given me. I Then asked him to explain how he went from the original quote willie gave me to the OTR price he gave me and he again got defensive and said that the email quote was right because they has a "disclaimer" at the bottom and he seemed to be getting ruder and more impatient as i pressed him for more details. In the end i gave up and decided not to waste any more time on this dealer. Seriously...This is by far the worst dealer i have every come across! The fish rots from the head and GM's attitude is a good starting point! More

They may hold your vehicle for ransom UPDATE 12/1/17: The day after the ordeal, the service technician called me to apologize for the error and admitted that he never quoted a price of $6 UPDATE 12/1/17: The day after the ordeal, the service technician called me to apologize for the error and admitted that he never quoted a price of $660 and that would have avoided any issues of misunderstandings. He put a credit on my account for $360 (which was all he was able to do). This was a stand-up action and went a long way. A few days after this the actual service manager (the guy I dealt with was an assistant) called to make sure I was satisfied. I told him that ideally I would receive a refund instead of the credit. He said he could make that happen and I'm happy to say that today I received the $360 refund check. Although that night was very stressful, I'm giving a lot of credit to the service manager and the technician for fixing the issue. I still have to leave off a star for the stress in the first place caused by the assistant manager not willing to listen to me. I understand that some people try to get away with things, but after a certain amount of time and considering the circumstances (i.e., how long I've been a customer), you have to listen to what the customer is saying. Thanks for reading. ============================================= I’ve been going to Toyota of Bowie (service) for years and while they haven’t been the quickest at servicing a vehicle (can take 3 hours just for an oil change), I didn’t feel it was so bad that I had to write a review. But that changed tonight. I took my Sequoia in for a 100k service ~$260. I got the normal call that the technician recommended changing the plugs at 100k. Ok, how much? $400 extra. What!? Forget that they were fine when I drove in. Go to pickup the truck and guess what? $660 bill. Yep they did the plugs even though I specifically said no. Bring out the manager. He called the service person that I talked to on the phone who recalled I said to go ahead with the plugs and of course he believed his employee. He then told me to call my wife who had dropped me off to come pick me up because he couldn’t let the truck go if I didn’t pay the full amount. 45 min drive in rush hour traffic. That’s right he was holding me ransom. After I said no way am I calling her, he said that a shuttle would take me home. I said bring it. Then he offered to reduce the price and got $100 knocked off. Still an extra $300 for 8 spark plugs. I ended up paying (after arguing for a long time) because I had to get home but they lost my business forever. In fact I think I will get rid of the truck. Toyota has fallen behind other manufacturers anyway. Moral of the story is to get the final cost from the service guy when they call you to sell you other services (and they will call) and repeat it back to them. Never trust them. More
I Returned and Brought Along a FRIEND I purchased my first foreign car from Toyota April 2016. It was a Toyota RAV 4. I loved the interior, but was most impressed with the safety features, and the TWO-YEAR service warranty was the icing on the cake. When I got the email stating that they could reduce my car note a few weeks ago, I thought really and made an appointment to check out their claim. THEY DID, and I took my new car (Same make, model, color AND INTERIOR) home. My friend was so impressed with my 2016 that when she heard that I was going back she asked to come along to get one too. She did She got a white one with a different interior, and she got a hybrid LE. My RAV 4 is a Hybrid Limited. I also love the mileage that I get on my car. My friend has stated that she also LOVE HER CAR, and that she wants to upgrade eventually to the same car and features that I have...Can't get any better than that. More

For some reason, they seemed so determined to hussle me and make me wait so long that by the time I drove the car off the lot 8 hours after I expressed interest (not an exaggeration), I was sick to my stomach that I allowed it to go that far. Even to this day I regret buying from that dealership. There isn't a single straight shooter there. It's a room full of greasy smile-through-their-teeth hunters who'd sooner stab you in the back than have an honest conversation with you. I myself am in sales and I do well, and to see someone try to run something over on me the way the manager did was sickening. A total circus act, and finding out that the car was from a rental fleet after being told it wasn't only added insult to injury. I'll be kicking myself for a long time for setting foot on that rat dealership. More
Awesome Experience Went into Toyota Of Bowie on this past weekend to see if I could get a new car. My Salesman Mr Jason Roberts was exceptional!! From the time I arrived Went into Toyota Of Bowie on this past weekend to see if I could get a new car. My Salesman Mr Jason Roberts was exceptional!! From the time I arrived at the dealership until my final steps into financing, he assured me that I was going to be ok. He explained every detail of the sale, from what I could and could not afford being realistic in every aspect. Every question I asked he answered, not just with a short to the point answer, it honest and definitely detailed. My test drive was amazing. Jason explained the entire operation of the vehicle before we left the lot!! When we got back I had made my choice, the Toyota Camray SE!! I was very nervous about the whole new car buying experience but Jason Roberts made it a pleasurable experience. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my family and friends but most of all I would recommend Mr Jason Roberts as their salesman!! Thank You again Jason and Toyota of Bowie More
