Yup. Stereotypical shady Used Car Salesman here LOOK AT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. TOO MANY PATTERNS to be coincidence, to many details, and too many saying the same thing. Poor customer service, from th LOOK AT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. TOO MANY PATTERNS to be coincidence, to many details, and too many saying the same thing. Poor customer service, from the leadership down. They want to know the price, and how much you are willing to spend up front before even talking to you, most of the time, a specific used car salesmen are meeting you in the lot. They didnt take my number, email, or any info. You can not attempt to reconcile this after the fact with your salesman's attitude. There are a trend of other reviewers saying the same thing. I went to Keller, got a great low pressure treatment. Guess whos buying a new truck on Alpine. Most disappointed in the Customer Service here at this FORD dealership. Disrespectful outdated sales tactics at this location. All I can say, is I am glad I observed these true colors prior to the sale before spending tens of thousands of dollars with them. I was looking at some of their vehicles, debating between a 2019 and 2016 F150 and was still undecided on which vehicle I wanted to go. I brought my 2011 Ford F250 in to see what kind of trade in I could get, I was instructed to go to the USED car building, so off I went. At arriving one of the salesmen, Dan, immediately came out to the lot before I was even outside of the vehicle. I had previously spoken with Paris, who may have not been in so Dan took over. I liked Paris, I did not like Dan. Immediately Dan jumped right to the amount of my payments, how much I owe on the truck, and what the max budget of my vehicle would be (Not really his business). I was still undecided and wanted to know what the trade in of my vehicle would be. I asked politely for an appraisal while briefly telling him I might be looking at a 3.5L or a 2.7L and was still undecided. He must've decided that one of their 3 used trucks was outside my budget, and that it wasnt worth his time. After going in to ask the manager, Jerry, if they were interested in the vehicle he came back and said they wouldnt be interested in buying the car outright but theyd take it on trade and to come back if I decide on a vehicle on their lot. After asking back handedly for a few times, I asked right out, “So it sounds like you aren't interested in offering me a trade in for my vehicle?” to which he replied “Like I said, let us know when you decide on a vehicle”. I said “well why dont I speak to the used car manager.” Dan Said “Oh hes in a meeting”. Right. If Dan wasnt even willing to offer a trade in for my vehicle why bother test driving anything? Off I went. As I was leaving the lot, I called theManager Jerry who surprise wasnt in a meeting, to get the same treatment from him. Clearly this is a top down mentality. After asking the details of my vehicle, the condition, color etc, he went back to the “Well what type of payment are you wanting to get into, maybe I can keep an eye on something?”, and I politely redirected him back to the fact that I don't even have an idea on trade in. While I appreciate keeping an out on something, if you arent willing to talk trade in value, why bother. After only 5 minutes of conversing, he says “How am I supposed to know what the value of your trade in is, Id have to see it, and it most definitely needs work” (minor as most vehicles do), I said “I was physically just in the lot and your salesman Dan, had allegedly talked to you about it about the trade in” to which he replied “Oh I think he was talking to another buyer”. What? How does that even make sense? Why would he be talking to another buyer about my trucks trade in values? At which point I told Jerry, you know, dont bother, I dont think were going to be a good fit. If your going to lie, at least be congruent about it and have it make sense. I will be contacting FORD. I expected this from some small dealers. Not from a FORD dealer. They lost out on a DEFINITE Used Truck Sale, and Possibly even a NEW Truck Sale. More

I’d have better assistance from a spiteful ex-girlfriend I initiated contact multiple times via email. I was told they couldn’t do much “negotiating” via email but if I came in then there would be a better I initiated contact multiple times via email. I was told they couldn’t do much “negotiating” via email but if I came in then there would be a better opportunity to work through the sales process. I told them ahead of time that I had a trade in and it had been assessed by multiple dealerships, and I had a sample from one of them that I thought to bring along with me. I ended up taking the vehicle for a test drive and liked it. So I sit down after the test drive and I’m told there would be no movement on the price, then the trade in offer is presented and it is nearly 2k less than what other dealerships were offering. I used cars.com and found another of the same make and model and the car fax looked like they were identical twins. The mileage was slightly lower for the vehicle I found at a dealership across the state and the price for that vehicle was nearly 1k cheaper. I literally told Tony Betten sales staff if they matched the trade in price and lowered the sticker price a bit I would walk next door to the 5/3 and get a cashiers check and drive off with the vehicle. So I got home called Crest Ford in Centerline and initiated the process to purchase the near identical vehicle. I sent the salesman a picture of the trade in offer and they approved to match the price using that evidence as proof. I gladly drove the 140 miles to purchase a vehicle from a dealership with staff that dealt with me more than fairly. I wish they just would have told me that the price was not negotiable, and my trade in couldn’t be matched even with proof from other dealerships. I understand each dealership has their own sales procedures and guidelines, but the level of transparency was minimal. Based on this interaction It is highly unlikely I’d even entertain the thought of purchasing a vehicle from Tony Betten, let alone recommend it to others. More
