Unethical On 4/28/2014 we went to World Volkswagen of Toms River to seek out new car After credit was run the manager David and sales rep Chad Lorenzo said only On 4/28/2014 we went to World Volkswagen of Toms River to seek out new car After credit was run the manager David and sales rep Chad Lorenzo said only way to get one is to take the 2012 Ford Fusion for now and after making on time payments for 6 months he would get us into any care new one at 0% interest or used 1.9% under their guaranteed customer retention program . On 11/7/2014 we contacted Chad Lorenzo to start the process and were informed that they would not do it and that what David said didn't matter and he was not there anymore and he was going to see what they could do and call us back . I called them back on 11/10/14 and spoke to Glen who said nothing they could do and didn't matter what David said because he was no longer working there. David and his salesman pressured us all day and made us overpay with the understanding that they would refinance at those rates in 6 months and it would help to build up our credit. Unfortunately we were naive and they did take advantage of us with those promises. Now no one is willing to listen call back or answer to help us get this solved all we got told verbatim is tough luck and that David now works at this establishment so go there and ask him to keep that promise More
Shockingly unprofessional, aggressive and rude! As I was signing the contract, they asked that we sign each page of the Carfax. No one has ever asked me to sign the Carfax. Before signing it, I asked my son to review it and he noticed a discrepancy of over 30,000 miles. I quickly got up and said I would not be signing the contract. The sales manager became angry, aggressive and very unprofessional. He stated that he was 1000% sure that it was an error and that he would take care of it. I said ok then when? He couldn't say when but he knew that it couldn't be done by tomorrow. So I proceeded to leave. He became angrier and said "that's fine we don't need your business anyway ". I again said there is no way that I'm going to sign a contract with a bad Carfax. The next day and every day for at least a month, sometimes twice a day, I received a call from this dealer. Needless to say I did not answer. Sad that some sales managers are so arrogant to think that we Have to purchase a car from them. There are hundreds of dealers to choose from. I just went to another dealer and purchased a car. Beware of this dealer they lie about the history of their cars through the Carfax and try to slip the Carfax at you with all the paperwork expecting you no to read it. READ the CARFAX! More

They Made the IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE!!! The alternator failed on our 2 month old 2014 Jetta while we were vacationing and visiting family in South Jersey. We were 700 miles from home and we The alternator failed on our 2 month old 2014 Jetta while we were vacationing and visiting family in South Jersey. We were 700 miles from home and were already in a very stressful situation. To make matters worse, we learned that the part needed to get us on our way was on a national backorder - a nightmare situation to say the least! From the moment we walked in the door, Mike put us at ease and assured us that he would help get us home. He got everyone around him to make the impossible, possible! He went far beyond the limits of customer service and acted on our behalf as if he was part of our family. We spent almost the entire day at the dealership waiting for a miracle to happen, while Mike was on the phone with corporate, running around the dealership, asking employees to help with our case and possibly stay after their shifts - he did EVERYTHING that he could to fight for us so we could get the part we needed somehow so we could make our 700 mile ride home the following morning. Mike went absolutely above and beyond and far exceeded our expectations. We got the part we needed, and we are happy to say that our drive home went smoothly! The Jetta is still running as it should! We cannot thank Mike and his team enough for their help!! A special thanks also goes out to the Parts Manager for all of his help and the Service Tech for staying late to fix our car! TDI = Totally Did It! (LOL) World of TR "Totally Did It" for me. I walked in with one car on the brain ** 2014 JETTA TDI ** and Steve Alfano Jr. and World VW of TR delivered exac World of TR "Totally Did It" for me. I walked in with one car on the brain ** 2014 JETTA TDI ** and Steve Alfano Jr. and World VW of TR delivered exactly what I was looking for and within a couple $$ of the low ball internet price that I came in with! Steve was friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about what I wanted. The entire buying process was much less painful than I expected and in comparison much better than other local dealerships I have bought cars from. The experience would rate in the top 1-2 that I've had while purchasing 4+ new cars in these various dealers over last 10yrs. The showroom is kinda sorta small, but has what it needs to get things accomplished. Generous with offers of bottled water and some continental style baked goods to munch while you're waiting for various stages of the buying experience. I have not yet had the pleasure (hopefully) of dealing with the SERVICE area, but looking forward to being treated like VIP as promised. Hope I am satisfied with service as much as I was showroom.
