I have been going to Tom Wood for years for oil changes, recalls, etc. Although they’ve been hit or miss I was very disappointed with my visit. I made an appointment and was told they would need to keep my recalls, etc. Although they’ve been hit or miss I was very disappointed with my visit. I made an appointment and was told they would need to keep my truck for 2 days (I then figured it was 2 days total, which I guess was my fault for not asking more questions), after the 3rd day my vehicle was still 16th in line to even be checked in for diagnostics. Finally, I got a message for all the “fails” which included an extremely overpriced air filter, a complete replacement for a gear box, and after asking about a headrest speaker that was crackling, they proposed a $1,500 replacement of the entire headrest instead of trying to actually fix the wires - which I declined. Furthermore, after another 2 days of them working on it (after waiting for the part to come in) I asked about an eta and the service rep just replied with I’m not sure the tech said he’s working on it. I would think the team would be a little more skilled at managing customer expectations when it comes to timing with someone’s vehicle. I don’t understand or appreciate the price gouging when it comes to simple things like air filters and complete overhauls of systems instead of conducting minor repairs. The one thing I did like was their ability to deliver my vehicle once it was finally completed. Albeit, I will not be returning to this dealership for future services. More
